Dr. Rami Mufleh Akel, MD

Very few healthcare providers came from Jordan. Surprisingly, most of them kept their primitive and Bedouin characters. They only thrive among rednecks and white trash.

I am not questioning Dr. Akel's skills as a cardiovascular surgeon. My dissatisfaction revolves around bed-side manor. Thinking this was a routine exam, I was surprised with a diagnosis of "dark". After the procedure, I saw Dr. Akel once, an associate once and a nurse practitioner once. None of the 3 seemed to be on the same page and my questions were not answered, even when I submitted a written list of questions.

I was admitted to Trinity Medical Center 4 days after knee replacement with blood clots in my lungs. Dr Akel was the attending Cardiologist. Dr Akel was one of the kindest caring doctors I have ever encountered.In my dangerous medical situation he put my mind at ease and listened to what I had to say and explained what ways we could go with my medical situation. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr Akel.

Dr. Akel is awesome. He has seem me through too many situations. He is compassionate, he really cares about his patients. I would and have recommended him to several people.

I was admitted into Bayonet Point in Septic Shock. I was in ICU in critical care unit. I had only 30% chance of living as my heart was failing and my kidneys were in Stage one kidney failure. I waited 5 days to see him and when he walked into the room he didn't even introduce his self and did not even explain why my troponin levels were so high. He said my heart was "okay " then when I started to ask him questions he just walked away and rolled his eyes. He is heartless and ignored my diagnosis and didn't even tell me what to expect after Septic Shock. It took me 5 weeks to walk again and I will never go back to that hospital or any other facility where he practices. He should be ASHAMED of himself!

WOULD GIVE LESS THAN ONE STAR IF POSSIBLE. THIS DOCTOR IS AN EMBARRASSMENT TO HIS PROFESSION! WE WERE KEPT WAITING 2 AND A HALF HOURS PAST OUR APPT BEFORE WE WERE CALLED IN AND WHEN I DARED TO MENTION IT TO HIM, HIS WHOLE DEMEANOR CHANGED. HE CAME INTO THE OFFICE...'HELLOOOOOO'. HELLO MY BUTT! WHEN I TOLD HIM WE HAD WAITED TWO AND A HALF HOURS, THAT SWEET FACE OF HIS WAS GONE IN AN INSTANT. 'WELL I'M SORRY, BUT SOME PATIENTS TAKE LONGER THAN OTHERS!' WELL EVERY PATIENT MUST HAVE TAKEN LONGER TO MAKE UP FOR 2.5 HOURSS LATE! HE MUST THINK WE ARE STUPID! ESPECIALLY WHEN HE SPEND 6 MINS WITH US! WE WILL NEVER GO BACK TO HIM. PARTIALLY BECAUSE OF HIS BOOKING PATIENTS EVERY 10 MINUTES INSTEAD OF EVERY 30 WHICH MEAN HES GREEDY, AND PARTIALLY BECAUSE HE TURNED OUT NOT TO BE SO NICE WHEN HE WAS CONFRONTED ABOUT IT. ANOTHER PHYSICIAN THAT THINKS HES 'GOD'. NOT SURE WHERE I CAN REPORT HIM AS DOCTORS PRETTY MUCH WORK FOR THEMSELVES AND HAVE NOBODY TO ANSWER TO BUT I AM GOING TO KEEP… TRYING. THANK GOD FOR ONLINE REVIEWS. I WOULDN'T WISH TODAY ON MY WORST ENEMY. AN HOUR DRIVE THERE, AND HOUR DRIVE BACK AND 2.5 HOURS WAITING FOR A 6 MIN VISIT AND THEN HAVE HIM RESENTFUL THAT I CALLED HIM OUT ON IT. SHAME ON ME! HA! HE DOESN'T KNOW ME VERY WELL. I CALL IT LIKE I SEE IT AND 2.5 HOURS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. NEVER GOT AN 'IM SORRY'. HE WILL NEVER SEE US AGAIN. HE WILL ONLY SEE OUR REVIEWS. GOOD RIDDANCE!

Absolutely wonderful Dr restored my hope in Drs as still being in it for the people and not just the money.

A very qualified Dr. His main problem is not communicating well with his patients. Needs to improve this skill for the good of his practice!

Never doubted his talent as a Dr. But if angered, proceed with great caution!!!!

Very Rude, Doesnt even introduce himself and is always frowning. I told him I was allergic to aspirin and he says take a baby aspirin. Thats crazy.I am finding another doctor.
