Dr. Rami E Geffner, MD

My father was told he needed three MOHS surgeries for squamous cell on his legs. He received his first surgery and found out after a second opinion that Dr. Geffner operated on the wrong area of the leg. My father ended up in the hospital for 3 nights after getting cellulitis around the surgical wound. We also found out he did not need surgery on the other spots as they could not be found. I would definitely find another dermatologist!!!

I had an appointment at the Toms River office location. I went simply to get a mole, the size of a quarter, removed from my right shoulder. Dr. Geffner and his assistant began cutting into my shoulder without numbing me in the correct places, causing me to feel EVERYTHING. He then proceeded to give me stitches underneath the incision, which were supposed to dissolve, and then 22 STAPLES on top of the incision. I have gone to a plastic surgeon since seeing Dr. Geffner and the surgeon informed me that Geffner cut my incision the incorrect way, should have been vertical not horizontal, and should have never put staples on my shoulder. I now have a bright red keloid scar three times the size of the original incision and nothing can be done to fix it. Awful experience with this doctor and would NEVER recommend him to anyone. He has ruined my shoulder for the rest of my life. Awful practice.

After going to what was then called "Derm One" which now they call themselves "Certified Dermatology" … TERRIBLE PLACE. You will never see a Doctor..always an NP or ?? Anytime you go you'll get cut up and stitched..come back again and get cut up and stitched. Not until I switched and went to a real dermatologist did I recognize the horror of that practice. I have numerous unnecessary scars to prove it ! I do believe that they are driven to do surgical procedures just for financial gain, not the patient's well being in mind at all !!

I went into the Galloway, NJ office originally for a consultation for a cyst i had near my left temple. Unfortunately, Dr. Geffner was not the provider in which i saw for the consult. Dr. Sidwa was and he was absolutely amazing! Info, since it was a cosmetic area he informed me that Dr. Geffner does all those procedures. Well i had my procedure done and i will NEVER have him complete another procedure on me again, nor will i refer anyone to see him. I had my procedure completed in the Deptford location and let me just tell you.. DISGUSTING! There was blood on the waiting room floor.. i first led that slide, realizing it could have just dropped off a patient that morning (i had a 1pm appointment) and i work in the medical field, so i understand how that could have been missed. But when it comes to the actual room where surgery is preformed & i notice there is blood on the floor and table that is COMPLETELY unacceptable! Also, the assistant who whatever she was that numbed me was very… unprofessional. Listen, i was nervous and scared out of my mind for this procedure & was scared of the needles. I’m honest, i cried like a baby and was full body shaking.. when the Dr tells me that i’m just sensitive, does not help. And when the assistant tells me that i shouldn’t be feeling the numbing needles any longer.. guess what i was. It has always taken me a while for any type of work to get numb. Than when actually placing the stitches i started to feel him stitching & i screeched and be continued stitching saying “there’s no way you’re feeling this”.. just a horrible experience all together. I am thankful i do not have to see him to have these HORRIBLE stitches removed that will leave a nasty scar on the side of my temple! I was even informed by a plastic surgeon that he did not stitch that correct way for a facial area & that i was going to end up with a nasty scar.. which is 3x the size i was originally told it was going to be! I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO DR GEFFNER OR REFER ANYONE TO HIM!!!!

If I could give a minus O I would. I had a very bad experience with this office from rude staff to a apt that should have taken 3 hours to lasting 7 1/2 hours. Because of the very long time I had to have more novocane shots then I should have my face is still numb after 5 weeks. I am very disappointed in this office.

Horrible doctor . Please do not go to this practice. My son was misdiagnosed and the way they handled the results was not professional at all !!!!!

I was at the West Deptford NJ office. I was told I was his first patient. Appt was at 10am. I was taken back to a room at 10:20 for prelimary consultation. Within the next hour, three assistance came to see if this loser came in to see me. Eachof my response was no not yet. After an hour, I thought I sat long enough and decided to leave. As I was exiting the door, loser geffner mysteriously appeared and tried to blame his staff for not telling him I was in the room. I thought doctors would have a schedule for their patients and plan his procedures for the day ahead. He's a liar, rude and ignorant!

Regret going, Very unprofessional, Made Big incision for a tiny spot without telling me first . Lesion still there . Was mad cause my daughter asked if cancer or not on my cell before procedure. His Nurse Erica forgot to take pics of incision . They said the several hour wait for mose biopsy was cause machine was down . Days later his office said the real truth was they forgot the machine in New Jersey!! They forgot to give pain script and print out for after care instructions . I would give an A for Quacks !!! RUN DON'T LOOK BACK !!

Dislike the call center. Messages left are not returned. Wait time in office is 2 hours +. Got confirmation for appointment I never made, and on another day confirmed appointment for a location unknown to me (although they did get the day right). Made appt for me on day Dr. Geffner was not in. had a cyst out 13 days ago. Got a call today confirming an appointment to have that same cyst out on Oct. 21. Scary-they have no idea what they are doing. Not comfortable going there any more
