Dr. Rami Kamil Taha, MD

Dr. Taha was one of a few infectious disease doctors to treat my family member at the hospital for Covid 19-pneumonia. Despite the positive Covid diagnosis, Dr. Taha did not offer nor consider any anti-viral medication for my family member(Remdesevir, Paxlovid, and others). He also did a terrible job in communications. He did not communicate nor contact the family members one single time. There was no consultation or discussion of my family member's medication that was to be given. Dr. Taha decided to administer antiobiotics and steroids rather than anti-viral medication to my family member. The medication did nothing to get rid of the bacteria in my family member's lungs. My family member passed away due to the incompetence of this and other infectious disease doctors. If he is put into your care or the care of your loved one, please look the other way and please request a different doctor. He has other bad reviews online. It's not by accident. The fact that a reputable hospital would… allow such a terrible communicator and terrible doctor to roam their grounds is truly shameful.

Failed to discuss patient care and treatment with designated family member while patient was in comma in Intensive Care and did not return 4 phone messages over 3 day period and his backup team of doctors did not call back either

Very disappointed. My very sick friend has Medicare which DR Taha was not pleased. He showed no concern for her, didn't check lungs or vitals, only had 1 tube of blood for testing where most DR's extract 4 tubes. My friend explained of her low income and asked for lower cost generic prescriptions. He didn't listen and her cost was over $2500 for the pills which she couldn't pay. He didn't take time to talk with her, he just seemed like he was in another world, uncaring and couldn't wait to leave. Wasn't even with her 5 mins. we were pretty shocked. Was it the Medicare? Was it her lung disease? Or perhaps he just had a bad day? Needless to say, but he's is fired.
