I was extremely disappointed with my experience with Dr. Eskandari. The doctor showed little regard for patient privacy and often discussed sensitive details in a way that made me uncomfortable. It felt as though HIPAA guidelines were treated more as suggestions than actual rules, which is alarming for a medical professional. I expect health information to be kept private and handled with the utmost respect, and that was not the case here. If you value your confidentiality and want a provider who takes your trust seriously, I would not recommend this practice

Not a very good communicator. I had a hard time trying to read between the lines.

Dr Eskandari was very untruthful with me during our visit. He provided, what I learned later, were half truths. I was very disappointed and worry for the sakes of the families who end up in his hands.

Met Dr.Eskandari today for first time. He was very compassionate and helpful explained everything to us in a way we could understand. Really looking forward to seeing what the future holds for our son.

Dr Eskandari gave my daughter her life back. My daughter struggle with migraines for some time and when she was finally given a CT scan, they found a massive tumor. The moment we arrived to MUSC Dr Eskandari was very clear on what steps needed to be taken and didn’t sugar coat anything (which I loved most). There were never any surprises. I felt like he treated my daughter the same way he’d treat his own, with complete love. I am beyond grateful for Dr Eskandari and his staff!

Dr. Eskandari is an exemplary human being, in general. Added to that, he's a brilliant surgeon with all of the passion and none of the ego. Yes, he's skilled in the field of neurosurgery like his peers. However, his personality and demeanor elevate him to the next level. He takes the time to answer any and all of your questions, no matter the hour. He never makes you feel as though you're a burden. He is kind and compassionate with a bedside manner not always seen amongst surgeons, even in pediatrics. I'm sure he has faults, but I'll leave it up to you to find them. I wouldn't hesitate to take any of my children back to him for neurological care, second opinions, third opinions or for a medical referral when you collapse and smash your face onto an iPad charger, for example. I would recommend that you do as well. So, don't be a silo! Reach out for his medical expertise. You won't regret it.

We're fairly certain this doctor has moved to MUSC. He performed surgery on our son and did an amazing job. The surgery was performed earlier than expected and we were kept informed throughout the process. The most memorable part of the experience for us was the communication. He went above and beyond, even calling us prior to the surgery to answer questions we had. We also heard similar positive reviews from the nurses in the recovery area. Would definitely recommend.
