Dr. Sadeghpour is a godsend. There are doctors that just go through the motions, and then there are doctors that truly go above and beyond. Not only is Dr. Sadeghpour an incredible surgeon, but he is a gem of an individual. He saved my grandmother's shoulder. At her age, and with the severity of the break - we were confident that there would no chance of mobility after the repair. Yet to this day, we are all in disbelief at how this nearly 90-yr old woman has regained what we all thought was impossible. When my grandfather had intolerable pain in his shoulder/collar bone during the outset of pandemic, Dr. Sadeghpour went entirely out of his way to examine my grandfather and help us gain an understanding of what the issue was. After my grandmother suffered an acute shoulder injury, I took her to see Dr. Sadeghpour. She could barely even lift her arm, causing her to be extremely nervous about her upcoming doctor's visit. However, all of my grandmother's nerves were put to rest after she met Dr. Sadeghpour. Greeting us with a smile, he politely introduced himself to us and asked my grandmother to describe her accident and the problem she was experiencing with her shoulder. He performed a thorough shoulder examination while being careful to not exacerbate any feelings of pain my grandmother experienced from her injury. He also ordered an X-ray study to be performed, which was quickly achieved since the facility has its own X-ray technicians and machinery. Based on the X-ray study, his shoulder examination, and my grandmother's description of the accident, he was able to rule out certain conditions such as a dislocated shoulder and suggested that my grandmother's injury was due to a torn muscle in the… rotator cuff (most likely the supraspinatus). What was special to note is that instead of simply telling us that my grandmother tore her rotator cuff, he explained why he thought my grandmother tore her rotator cuff by teaching us about the anatomy of the shoulder, what physical motions can elicit specific shoulder injuries, and what the tests from his shoulder examination revealed. In order to get a definitive diagnosis, he ordered an MRI study. This allowed him to diagnose her with an acute tear of the supraspinatus muscle with significant inflammation, which was consistent with the findings in his initial examination. He recommended that a nonoperative route be pursued as surgery simply was not necessary; all that was required was a light course of physical therapy and a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication. Dr. Sadeghpour's commitment to patient care is evident in every single facet of your interaction with him. He is a great listener who is able to analyze the information presented to him. He is an amazing diagnostician with a vast knowledge of human anatomy and physical examination techniques. He is an honest doctor who acts in the best interest of his patients.
