Back in August 2021 I visited Dr Ramon Berenguer with Primary Medical Physicans at 7050 Taft St Hollywood Fl. I had recently obtained a medical marijuana license for a condition I have. I was told on the phone when I made the appt the cost to see Dr Berenguer was $189 for a 7 month "prescription", then $125 for each renewal of 7 months at a time therfeafter. I visited Dr Berenguers office again this past August (08/25/2023) to renew my prescription. The price had skyrocketed from the $125 to $189.00! I was floored at the increase from what BOTH the receptionist AND Dr Berenguer had told me. But, I was low on medication so I paid the $189 to have my prescription renewed for 7 months. This past Tuesday (Feb 14) I visited an authorized dispensary, license in hand to purchase more medication. I was told my prescription was EXPIRED! Where it should have been valid through March 25, 2023 (based on the doctors OWN WORDS of 7 months) it had been renewed for only 3 months. THREE MONTHS. So not… only was I decieved on the cost, I was also decieved directly by Dr Berenguer who told me it would be good for 7 months. I went to Dr Berenguers office at 7050 Taft St Hollywood Fl 33024 to find out what had happened as this was clearly a mistake. The office workers, who in the past were courteous and friendly were impolite, curt, and refused to do anything to rectify the situation and simply told me "well it's up to the doctor how long the prescription was good for". The only option they gave was to make ANOTHER appointment to see the Dr. I went home and called back to the office to request I speak with the Dr. I was told by "Christina" the Dr would return my call. Apparently she didn't bother to relay the message, or Dr Berenguer didn't bother to call. I called again Tuesday the 15th and again left a request for the Dr to call. I spoke with a "Leez" who said someone had called and left a message. This was yet another lie as my caller ID showed no voicemail or calls from their office. So I again requested a callback. Again my request was ignored. I called one last time on Feb 17th. I was again told "well it's up to the doctor how long the prescription was good for" and that the Dr was "too busy" to talk to his patients on the phone. I write and post this as a warning to anyone who dislikes a medical professional who lies to your face, has rude office staff and uses deceptive practices to fill their pockets with YOUR money. AVOID PRIMARY MEDICAL PHYSICANS AND DR BERENGUER.
