Dr. Ramoun Dante Jones, MD

Someone call me to come in early for my appointment and said they had cancellations and no-shows. I showed up an hour early for my appointment. I waited for two hours to see Dr. Jones, which is highly upsetting. Came in. See me for two minutes maybe and was gone. Lack of concern, compassion, empathy, care, and overall the lack of care for time. Don’t go to him.

I had a Nervo Spinal Cord Stimulator (SCS) installed in March of 2021 to address chronic lower back pain. The SCS was implanted by Ramoun Jones. The SCS worked fairly well for about one year. Thereafter, I experienced decreasing pain relief and finally, receiving no relief from the Nervo SCS on any setting, I turned it off. I was required to get an MRI to diagnose my continuing back problems. Doctor review of the MRI shows that there has been significant movement in the electrodes that were implanted to relieve my pain. No wonder the device failed to provide pain relief. I am working with another medical group to have the Nevro SCS removed and another device implanted. This requires another invasive surgery and all the associated hassles and dangers. My experience should speak for itself.

Dr. Jones was rude, inconsiderate to his patient Needs, you asked a few questions and he was out of the room I wouldn’t recommend him to anybody.

he was the worst dr ever. my buddy went in walking and he left him in the hallway paralyzed, shaking and could not walk or talk for way over a year. he still cant walk.

Waste of time. The doctor left me in an exam room for an hour with no communication at all despite his nurses telling him I was in there multiple times. Stay away.

I am unable to find info regarding Dr Jones education, training. The University of American Samoa, perhaps. Lworst practice EVER.

I was referred to Mr Jones for physical therapy. I made it crystal clear that I was not looking for pharmaceuticals. Within minutes of my first appointment I was rudely tossed a questionnaire to fill out. Acquisitory, insensitive questions such as "How often have you been sexually abused?", " How often have you been arrested?", "How often do you attend AA or NA meetings?" seemed not only invasive and horribly worded, but also highly irrelevant to the business of unmedicated physical therapy. I didn't fill out the form. After being corralled into an exam room and left alone for 80 minutes, at last a man clad in a lab coat burst into the room and asked what he could do for me. I had to ask who he was as he didn't have the decency to introduce himself. Upon learning he was the doctor, I asked him why I was being asked these irrelevant questions. At that point, he stood up and said to me, "Honey, I'm going to ask you to leave." Shocked and speechless, I got up and left the building. I… immediately reported this to my referring GP and thankfully will not have to deal with this clinic again. If you need medical care, go elsewhere. If you're looking for a quick rx of narcotics and are willing to forego your dignity and allow yourself to be treated like a criminal, you're in the right place.

The facility on the whole pushes high dollar procedures. Part of their Pain Contract that you sign states that if you do not follow their treatment you will be released so you have no choice in your treatment plan. I have never taken any kind of pain medication so I was new to all of this. I was also prescribed a medication, Nucynta, that is not available at any pharmacy due to back order from the manufacturer. I contacted the manufacturer and they cannot give a date that they will start producing the medication again because they are out of Puerto Rico and are in state of disaster right now. I contacted the office and was told to make another appointment. I did, and waited another 4 weeks to be seen. The second visit I was told to call a specialty pharmacy who would help me find Nucynta. They refused to try any other medication and still insisted I set up 4 appointments for epidurals. I explained my insurance had reviewed my medical and refused to authorize the epidurals. I was told I… had to have them or I would be released from the practice for not following the treatment plan. As waited to check out, there was a woman at the front desk encountering the same experience. I believe they prescribe this medicine that is impossible to get and if it were it is not covered by many insurances to lock you into high dollar invasive treatment. I have wasted two months of my life in excruciating pain. I finally took my MRIs to another Pain Management doctor and he wrote for medication and traction. My new doctor said that the epidural would be very risky given my current weight from a year of steroid use for other health issues and that it is widely known Nucynta is not covered by many insurance and it not available. Please save yourself time and money and find a different Pain Management Clinic.

I have been a patient of dr. Jones now for the past 2 years. I would highly recommend him to anyone that is dealing with back pain. To me he is very friendly, caring, and his staff is amazing. I have to get back injections every once in awhile and they relieve my pain for a couple of months at a time. I'm sitting here reading all the bad reviews on dr. Jones and I completely disagree with them. Since I have been going to the pain center, I have been treated with the utmost respect maybe that's because I don't do drugs, drink or break the rules that he lays out in order to get the pain meds that are needed to treat my pain. The big huge opioid epidemic that's going on in the world today I don't blame Dr. Jones for being on his toes. Great Dr and I will say it again he is a great Dr.
