Dr. Ramsey Kevin Majzoub, MD

If you are having any plastic surgery, please do not spend your time or money here. The secretary/billing specialist single handedly caused me to cancel my surgery and later so did the lack of concern by the doctor. There had been tension with her ever since I asked her why i needed to pay two thousand dollars up front for surgery when my insurance agreed to covering it in its entirety. After that point her whole attitude changed. She became irate. When she saw that I was not going to return the same energy, she ultimately said she would ask the doctor if he could waive the fee since I did not want to pay it. This phone call came after the consultation. It was weird to me that there was no mention of this new policy at consultation. She eventually called back and said that the doctor " waived the fee" and we scheduled the surgery. At pre op I was given a return to work note also known as a doctors note by the older lady who was super sweet. I was not taking a Family Medical… Leave so a doctor's note would suffice as far as documentation for my place of employment. The only issue with the note, was that it did not have the date of my surgery. I called to get an updated note that showed the date of my surgery and the secretary answered. Once I told her what I needed, she immediately begin to dismiss me and my needs in a very negative way. She began by saying that she did not have any information about me being out for surgery. Then I read her the letter to prove to her that I in fact had the doctors note and she said that I would have to wait until next week for the doctor to sign it and it would be thirty dollars for a doctors excuse to even add the date of my surgery to a regular doctor's note. I told her, that I did not have initially have to pay thirty dollars and that I did not understand why I would have to pay it now. She said it was leave paper work. I explained to her that it was not because I was not eligible for a leave so i did not need leave paper work or to have any forms to be filled out and also that my job neither sent me with paper work or need it. I only needed the back to work note that i originally received and that it only needed to have the date of my surgery. She continued to be condescending and then said that they already let me slide with two thousand dollars. That is when I finally got upset. I told her that they did not let me slide with anything. I was not going to pay two thousand dollars for a surgery my insurance already pre authorized and had agreed to pay at 100 percent. She was talking down to me at this point. She continued to be argumentative so I just hung up. I called my insurance company and let them know what was going on. I asked if I could change doctors because I no longer felt comfortable with the office. They said I needed to call the doctor and ask him to change the authorization to a different doctor or I would have to do the consultation and pre authorization and everything all over again with the new doctor. At this point I did not care. I called the office and asked to leave a message for the doctor letting him know what was going on and about the authorization change. Instead of just taking the message, the secretary decided she wanted to argue more and tell me how to go about things since I did not want to have surgery there. I informed her I had already talked to my insurance company and was doing as they instructed. She continued to be devaluing but I refused to give her my energy and I hung up. I received a call fifteen minutes later from the secretary saying she cancelled my surgery after talking with doctor and that he said he will no longer be able to do this surgery or any other surgeries in the future. He never called to see what was going on or anything just listened to her and made up his mind. This puzzled me, especially my demeanor and attitude has always been the same anytime he saw me. Not really sure what to say about this place. And I’m not one to complain. But something needs to be said. I was referred to Dr. Majzoub’s office from my pc doctor for a breast reduction. My first appointment was on Sept 18th which is where the doctor took pics and explained to me the process to get the ball rolling. Once finished I was told by Mrs. Judith the receptionist that I would receive a call if I was approved for the surgery. Fine. Two weeks later I get a phone call from the receptionist saying that I was approved. And my surgery was scheduled for Oct 28th, and I have a $700 deductible I said ok. I get a call back five minutes later saying that I didn’t have a deductible. October 6 I had to go to the hospital for my pre admissions testing and this is where they told me what I need to buy and what I needed to do on the day of operation. Next appointment was Oct 18th for my pre op appointment and to my surprise once again Mrs. Judith says that I had a deductible but this time… it’s 1,000 dollars. I explained to the receptionist that she told me that I had a deductible the last time. But she called me back and said that I didn’t have one. So she had to call (Bridgette) the billing specialist and she would get back to me. She calls back 20 minutes later after I left the office and says once again that I didn’t have a deductible. Oct 26th two days before my surgery I get a phone call from the hospital stating that my surgery was canceled because my insurance fell through and that I needed to call the doctor’s office. I called the doctor’s office told them my situation and was told that I would receive a call back the next day from the billing specialist. I get a call back the next day telling me that it would take up to 41 days to receive approval and was assured that as soon as she heard something she would call me back. I decided to call my insurance company the same day who told me that the billing specialist had just put the pre approval order in. On yesterday Dec 5th something told me to call my insurance company to check on the status. And to my surprise, I was told that it was approved on Nov 7th. I was told that I had no deductible until January 2024. On Dec 6th I called the billing specialist and told her the situation and her first excuse was it was in a pile of other forms but it seemed like she found it pretty quickly. Then I was told that it was hard to get a surgery scheduled. But you had 2 whole months to get me scheduled. On top of that if you would have put my pre approval in the first time I would have been able to get in on the day I was actually scheduled. Honestly it seemed like she was so adamant on getting me a date after January so that I could pay this deductible because seemed like every time we talked it was about money. As well as being adamant about me paying it before the surgery was supposed to take place. Then asked me did I want to push it out and make payments up until the day that the surgery would take place. I decided that it would be best that we cancel the whole pre approval and that I would look elsewhere. It’s a shame what I had to go through going to these pre op, pre admission and doctors appointments. As well as having to pay all this money out of pocket for the remaining balances, buying things for the surgery, taking off work for me and my husband, etc.

I attended my mothers appointment with her today and was blown away by Dr. Majzoub's thoroughness and thoughtfulness. Not only did he explain her procedure to the both of us, but he spent ample time describing the entire procedure from start to finish and answered all questions. His office (O'bannon location) is beautiful and clean and I could not say enough amazing things about his receptionist at the front desk. We had a great experience and I feel peaceful knowing that my mother's surgery is being done by Dr. Majzoub.

After a major abdominal surgery, I developed six dehiscent wounds at the closure region that the surgeon who performed the surgery was unable to properly treat. After three months of lack of any progress, I visited Doctor Majzoub at the Baptist Wound Care Center. Doctor Majzoub accomplished more in three weeks than the prior surgeon had achieved in three months! An incredible knowledgable physician with incredible patience. I'm over 70 years old and have seen my share of physicians - Doctor Majzoub is the best I've rver encountered - simply the best...

I got a brest reduction and you cannot even tell the scaring is very faint I was surprised but he was excellent I would do it all over again

I have never seen a plastic surgeon before but was referred to Dr. Majzoub from office staff from another well known local plastic surgeon's office who have had my same procedure done by Dr. Majzoub and loved their results. Thankfully, Dr. Majzoub accepted my insurance for the medically necessary procedure. I really like Dr. Majzoub. He is a good listener with a gentle bedside manner. His office staff is super nice and go above and beyond what is necessary to get questions or concerns answered or addressed. I would highly recommend Dr. Majzoub!

Very talented surgeon, one of my favorite surgeons. Definitely top notch in field of plastic surgery. Great office staff with outstanding facility. I would highly recommend.
