Dr. Ramsin M Benyamin, MD

Dr. Benyamin is brilliant, knowledgeable and personable. However I am very disappointed in the office service. I had a surgery scheduled because a staff member scheduled it and I cancelled 3 days of work, made arrangements for help after the surgery and was really looking forward to getting it done. Of course I assumed that since the surgery was scheduled, the insurance had notified the office with the green light! That it was covered. Then today I get a message from Pekin Hospital that the surgery was canceled for Monday because they could not reach Dr. Benyamin’s office since THE VOICEMAIL WAS FULL. What???! How does a staff allow the voicemail to be full?! And so the hospital could not verify the insurance approval. So I called the insurance company after getting a voicemail that I couldn’t get it done on Monday. So I call Dr. Benyamin’s office. By the time I could do that—after work— it was 4:15. And guess what. Not only was the office closed... but I was unable to… leave a message! I wanted the staff to call the insurance company—like I did!— and get the word that the surgery was approved and call Pekin so my appointment could proceed on Monday. I’m very disappointed and put off. Also. Every time I have called the nurse practitioner at the Benyamin office I have had to leave a message and my call has not been returned. Dr. Benyamin’s assistant does return calls. I’m in pain.

Gets right to the problem with no frustration or run around

I will say he is a very caring Dr. I went thrue a bunch of Dr's that couldn't help me before I found Dr.B with in two visits with him he new what wrong with me and him and his staff took very good care of me. He treats you like a person and just not like some Dr. That just looks at you for money. Dr.B and his staff has treated me like family and I can't ask for anything better so I just want to thank them all and they are the best people I've ever been around. Thank you so much Kenny Bartlow

Dr Benyamin is a blessing to help people in pain. And he is honest if he thinks he can't help u. He tried different injections on me and some helped for a while. I got to a point where he said he was sorry but it was surgery time. He is a very caring dr and listens to what is going on. His staff has always been very pleasant to work with as well. Takes a while to get a call back but I realize they are very busy and have alot of calls to return! THANK U SO MUCH DR BENYAMIN

The waiting time is horriable, expecially if you are in alot of pain. I have waited as long as 2 hours, horriable!!! Lets not talk about the time it takes to get a return call back, that is horriable too. Staff is RUDE and the Nurse Donny no bedside manner at all!!!!!!!

When I first got to the office for my appointment the receptionist kept her glass window closed she didn't acknowledge me and continued with a personal story. When she finally did open the window she continued her personal story and only stopped long enough to tell me to fill out paperwork. When I had finished she had left to use the restroom, there was no one to supervise the window. Although there were other people in the office it was like pulling teeth to get one to look at me. My appt was at 8:30 I wasn't seen until almost 10:00. There was only one other patient there and not even for the same doctor. The only thing that saved the visit was the actual doctor. He was warm,patient, he answered everyone of my questions, he had great bedside manner and he included me in the decision of my treatment plan. He was honest about all of my options(benefits/risks) and he was very thorough. The staff may not be much to brag about but it's worth putting up with to get in to see this doctor.

Very Good care and treatment by Dr. Benyamin and friendly, courteous staff.

Dr Benyamin spent a very good amount of time with me on our initial visit. He took the time to fully understand my pain issues, and ordered appropriate test to help diagnose the problem. Treatments have been very successful. I would recommend Dr Benyamin to anyone suffering from back problems.

I wish he could be my doctor for all things. Period. He listens, he's easy to talk to and will always try to get to the bottom of what your problem is, then what he can do to help. The staff is fabulous! All of them.

I found Dr. Benyamin to be one of the most caring Dr's I have been to in a long time. The wait time in the lobby is pretty long, but when he spent over an hour getting my history and talking with me about how to get to the bottom of a 18 month pain issue I was having I was MORE than happy to wait. He and his staff were both kind and helpful - always answering my questions and explaining options - HIGHLY reccomened him!
