Not often you see a doc and think WOW this one is special. Let me tell you, this one is special.

I don't normally write "reviews" but felt compelled. I tried googling for the doc's office number to see if I could see her at the new location (I saw her for two years when she was a fellow) and she is the most humanistic and most thorough physician I have ever met. and I've known some nice and smart docs. She took her time,eye contact, and I could tell she really cares deeply about ME not just my disease which is a tricky one. It seems the patient with the bad review below did not even SEE the Dr. and simply rated her one-star because he/she showed up too late to be seen! What is this, yelp?? This is very unfair. I once had to come back (with a diferent doc) because I forgot the appointment time and showed up 45 minutes late.Guess what, I laughed it off, took responsibility and apologized and understood it is a rule of the doctor's office. I didn't go throw a tantrum like a baby online and throw around ridiculous statements. I actually feel more bad than anything for this… person because they really missed out on one of the best (clinically, humanistically) docs I have ever met. I want to see her soon again she is so great.

Dr. Ramya Punati was so nice and listened very well to my daughters description of what was going on with her. She was kind, asked the right questions and explained her reasoning for the questions and test she ordered. read the mri to my daughter and made her feel very comfortable and cared for. Dr. Ramya Punati is very knowledgeable and we trust her greatly after just our first visit with her. I am a nurse and nurses know when a Doctor is knowledgeable and when they are not to be trusted. This doctor Very Great! We highly recommend her.

This dr lacks compassion and in my case I consider her to be abusive, lacks empathy which there is no place for, with those seeking medical services. I called and stated that I would be running a few minutes late, after arriving she refused to see me and turned me away. I work in the MH field and see clients all day, understanding that they may arrive a few minutes late. Understanding they are taking time off from work and paying me for services and that their time is just as valuable if not more because they need me. For some odd reason she can care less. After calling the office and speaking with others, she often treats her clients in this manner. No place for this abuse of power in any area of services when working with the public. She needs to know that she is still a public servant even if she is a doctor. Very very disappointed and can not trust her with my medical hx or care.
