Dr. Rand Frederick Compton, MD

Dr. Compton was on time, straight forward and very informative during my office visit. My colonoscopy, at a later date, went exactly as Dr. Compton had explained ahead of time. His bedside visit after the procedure was again, very informative and straight to the point. I highly recommend Dr. Compton.

All this doctor wants to do is throw pills at you. He did not check if I had too much acid in my stomach or not enough. So before even checking me, he wanted me on acid blockers. This medicine is very dangerous and am slowly trying to rid myself of this drug. When I had concerns regarding the fact that this med will make your bones brittle he just said just take some supplements.

I highly recommend Dr. Compton. He has an excellent bedside manner, was patient and thorough with answering my questions and concerns. I recently had the colonoscopy experience, the prep was incredibly horrid, however, Dr. Compton put me at ease prior to the procedure, was completely professional, and he has a great sense of humor.

Preping for a colonscopy was tough, but the actual test was fine. The staff and Dr. Compton did an excellent job.

I visited Dr. Rand for my first screening colonoscopy. I had read his ratings, but also looked up his credentials. I know screening colonoscopies can be a a bit assembly line, so I was not surprised that that was my experience at the Surgery Center. However, Dr. Rand recommended a tolerable prep (better than what a lot of others are reporting was prescribed by their doctors), anesthesiology was good, and the result uneventful. I did read into preps and I found Dr. Rand to be using the latest clinically recommended prep that is the most well-tolerated by patients. Based on my experience, I'd say he was highly competent and I would recommend him to others.
