“You are going to live”, Dr . Buss told me looking into my eyes in the operating room. His warmth, professionalism and knowledge has saved thousands of lives in his more than 42 years as a physician. I have a renovated heart thanks to his vision and many more years to live that I will always owe to Dr. Buss. If he is your surgeon, you will end up on the brighter side of the tracks.

Best around! Husband was presented to Health Park on 3 occasions with the same symptoms. On the third visit we found out he had the real "widow maker". Dr. Buss was called in by our cardiologist, which was a touch and go situation due to the fact he is on blood thinners, but as I know a "widow maker" presents itself with virtually no symptoms. I thank God every morning for Dr. Buss. If it was not for him I would be a widow. He kept me informed and was extremely easy to talk to and appreciated my feelings and those of my husband. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE ELSE THAN DR. BUSS! His name has been passed on to almost everyone in MY INDUSTRY that I work in. AGAIN, no one else but Dr. Buss.

Our daughter had her heart valves being destroyed by MRSA. But for the outstanding surgical skill of Dr. Buss she would surely have died, at age 27. He operated for about 4 hours, replacing aortic and mitral valves. This was an extremely difficult and critical case, and his superb efforts saved her life. I can recommend him with enthusiasm.

3 years ago this month I had lung cancer that required removal of half of my lung. Dr. Buss performed the surgery and I can only say that his expertise saved my life but his confident easy going manner made the entire event almost stress free. My whole family is thankful to him, and I am so blessed that I had him for my surgeon. My life and health today hasn't changed a bit and it is "like it never happened" God Bless Dr. Buss

I met Dr. Buss in the hospital a few days before he operated on my husband. He is to the point, courteous, and professional in his behavior. I couldn't have asked for anything more from him. In addition to being one of the best surgeons around, he is polite and genuine.

Dr. Buss may be a knowledgeable physician, but his bedside manner was an extreme disappointment, especially after working with his partners, Dr. DiGiorgi and Dr. Pascotto. His brusque demeanor and recommendation during post-sugical rounds to remain in southwest Florida for 4 weeks for a follow-up at his office - to a patient who did not reside in Florida - appeared to not balance the desire for a follow-up in his practice to the needs of his patient. While I can't comment on Dr. Buss's professionalism and skill as a surgeon, I can't in good conscious recommend him as a physician due to his personal mannerisms displayed in consultation, though I can recommend his partners at his practice highly.

Had a visit recently with Dr. Buss. I waited for 35 min. past the appointment time, but the office was very busy. It's "season" here and considering everything, the wait was not unreasonable. I was apprehensive considering the other reviews regarding his bedside manner. However, I found Dr. Buss to be personable, friendly and funny - joking enough to break the ice but not in a cavalier manner. I don't know what happened with the other reviews, but sometimes if you give attitude, you get it back. He gave a good exam, discussed my test results, told me his plans and allowed me to ask questions. All in all, I was very happy with the visit. I would feel comfortable recommending him to a friend.

We first met in the hospital. His "bedside Manner" is a negative number. It seems that he did a very good surgery and is very competent, just don't expect a meaningful conversation.
