Dr. Randall Howard Paulsen, MD

Dr. Paulson took me on as a client when I was finalizing my thesis in creativity writing. The work I dug up as writer was powerful, poignant, and pressed on my soul in both good and not-so-great ways. It was heavy, very emotional subject matter. I recall the level of poise and calm that radiated from Dr. Paulson’s being. I felt safe. I felt like my voice was being heard. As I explained my story and concerns; he listened intently and his sharp, concise, powerfully constructive receptions alignment with my desire to soar forward. Words and phrases from our sessions appear often like soundbites in my mind. I am a very grateful client!

I was sent to Dr. Paulsen by a neurologist who was trying to tease out if my recent memory problems were caused by head trauma, stress or depression, or another physical cause. He referred me to Dr. Paulsen to see assess me before and after he put me on meds. I told Dr. Paulsen that at least 50% of my emotional stress was caused by the way I was treated by doctors while trying to get diagnosed from another condition-- which was caused my medical treatment . He then treated me with contempt and basically refused to do the assessments, much to the consternation of the referring doctor. This was several years ago.
