Dr. Tindell received a B.S. in Chemistry and Mathematics from the University of Tennessee and an M.D. from the University of Tennessee in Memphis. A portion of his undergraduate training took place at West Point. He has practiced orthopaedic medicine since 1987 receiving specialized training in Orthopaedic Surgery with Dr. Rocco A. Calandruccio at the Campbell Clinic. Dr. Tindell is Board Certified and serves as team physician for several local high schools and as a board member for United Cerebral Palsy. He maintains numerous professional affiliations.

I had a minor meniscus tear (reviewed by 2+ doctors post op based on the pre op MRI) and Dr Tindell cut so much of the meniscus out during surgery that I went from running 5 miles a day to never running again. I've seen 4 more doctors in New York and 3 in San Francisco and they all corroborate that the initial surgery took out 80% of the meniscus when it should have taken 5%. The most likely outcome will be a complete knee replacement. If you want to walk without a limp or run every after surgery, I'd avoid this doctor.

Dr. Tindell has replace my knee and shoulder. This doctor is one I trust with my life. He was kind, caring, professional and a great surgeon. He followed me all the way through both surgeries. I know without a doubt I have my right knee that will soon need surgery and Dr. Tindell will be my surgeon. THANKS LOADS DR. TINDELL, THE BEST.

After surgery the knee never got better. I took the same MRI data disk to a different doctor, who indicated I had bone spurs, the disk was erroded, with bone on bone, and arthritis. Why did this doctor not know the extent of the damage after performing surgery. I would not send anyone to see him.
