Zero stars is really my review on this place and staff. My experience has not been good at all. Doctor performed surgery several months ago and no better today than before the surgery. When trying to communicate to the doctor concerns have been ignored. It is a problem when you can’t walk or stand. They push you off when trying to tell them there are issues. All they say is do you want more pain meds - and when you say no you want answers they are like well we can schedule you a follow up phone call appt with the nurse several weeks out. They are only about money and do not care about the patient. It is very troubling when you have phone calls with them and they always tell you -“we care about you and we are always here for you as we want to you get and feel better.” This is a lie. I really wish I did my research to make sure the care my loved one was receiving quality care. Now I am paying the price.

I was a nervous wreck. Hurt alot of pain scared. Not sure what was happening to my back to my body. All I know is I needed help, and still do. He talked to me explained what my body was doing and what we needed to do and next steps. I can not not explain the ease of mind that he is gonna look after my medical needs. Thank you Dr.Bishop for the time and not rush me through.

"THE BUTCHER" SEVERAL BACK AND NECK OPERATIONS AND WAS NO BETTER. TRAVELED TO ATLANTA AND THE DR. THERE COULD NOT BELIVE WHAT HE HAD PEFORMED ON MY BACK. ALSO MY NECK. HAD A 6 LEVEL FUSION ON MY NECK IN ATLANTA BY A DOCTOR WHO RPAIRED MY NECK. HE JUST DID NOT KNOW WHAT DR. BISHOP WAS"THINKING OR DRINKING" WHEN HE PERFORMED SEVERAL OPERATIONS ON MY BACK. ALL I CAN SAY TO SUM THIS UP IS DO YOUR "HOMEWORK ON DOCTORS" I WILL LIVE IN PAIN WITH MY BACK FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE |||

Can't get an appointment or response after months of trying. Currently worst than before the first of four surgeries. Poor staff especially when dealing with lifetime changes of patients.

18 years after several back and neck qperations still as bad as ever. needs to look after the people he is treating and leave his flying grounded

Great before surgery. Then, does everything he can too never see you or deal with you again after he butchers you multiple times. Had to have Dr Michael Neuwirth in NYC info the damage done. He was HORRIFIED with what had been done to my back. Still have my screw and bracket set the Bishop failed to put in my spine correctly, then ensuring me everything was perfect. Go to Stephen Kalhorn at MUSC. He is GREAT! AND CLOSE ENOUGH.

I had surgery 18 years ago in my lower back performed by Dr Bishop that has held through 15 more years of EMS. Recently I have had other issues with my spine and Dr Bishop and his staff are taking care of me . I have severe anxiety with procedures and they managed to literally comfort me and distract me to the point I didnt know we were even finished (spinal injection) His staff is funny and relaxed but quick and professional! Perfect combination!! *The Entire Organization would be PERFECT in this review but the office in Savannah is NOT good at calling you back...(not the doc or Nurse's fault at all) *

Had back break ordered by Dr Bishop , his office called for me to pick up made trip 110 miles to this iffice Spine Institute and was told no brace no one called me that they know of !!! What !!!! took An hour an a half of each indiviual I spoke to on this matter to track down who called after brace was approved by Ins, Co 6 weeks after the fact and finally from the stress and trauma of the rudness of the staff the brace was tracked down !!! How does this even hapoen ????? No one paying attention , No one checking up behind calls made to patients nothing documented ??? Dr Bishop fix the problem with your staff !!! The front desk assistant payed more attention talking on phone and going back & forth outside walking around leaving office unattended !!! Lost all paper work and acted as If I had not received call to pick up back bracec had to get insurance Co on phone to verify they had spoken to Robyn on the matter weeks ago after 3 different nurse, staff office manager didnt seem to know… anything but it was on computer ha !!! Oversight on staffs part took 2 min to pick up brace from next office had all info ready & waiting but Dr Bishop personal assistence had no clue what !!!!! Get it together people this is a very important part of a patient 's care and well being not having to deal with incompetent staff !!!!

Dr Bishop operated in my neck. Nerve pain in arms completely gone! Yes there is some discomfort following the operation but hey it's surgery. I don't understand all the bad reviews because I've been in this office numerous times and everyone has been super kind. His NP Beth is knowledgeable and takes time to go over X-rays with me after surgery and explain everything. Some people you just can't please and that's probably where the bad reviews are coming from because Dr bishop and Beth were both great to me and my wife. I would recommend him to anyone needing help with spine.

I met Dr Bishop in 1999 when I was having severe pain in my c4&5 level. Dr Bishop fused both levels I recoverd remarkably, In 2010 I was in a car accident and aggravated c 2&3 Dr Bishop did the same procedure that he previously did in 1999 because of the severity of the pain and due to the fact I don't care for pain pills Dr Bishop installed a spinal cord stimulator in my spine to help with the pain, I've done very well., I moved to Jacksonville Florida recently and I travel back to Savannah to see Dr Bishop, I refuse to let any other Doctor touch me, I have a brother that lives in Atlanta, because my brother has witness my progress with Dr Bishop he will be traveling to Savannah to have Dr Bishop take a look at his ex rays. My brother has suffered with back problems for many years and have seen many doctors. I'm honored to recommend Dr Bishop. I've been a patient 18 years and I absolulty love Dr Bishop. He takes good care of his patients. Awesome Doctor
