Dr. Randy Paul Ayres, MD

Hi, Back in 2016 I sought out to find a doctor to help me get off MS Contin and Percocet for 4 back surgeries after 10 yrs of Use. Then After 37 doctors ignored my calls this doctor called me back, Dr.Ayers. He gave me my life back. He and his nurse Shelley. I ?? Love them both dearly. Debbie Richardson ??

Dr. Ayres is the BEST! I literally drive 45 minutes each way to go to him, he actually cares about his patients. The nicest, most caring, phenomenal doctor I have ever seen in my life...

Dr. Ayres is a pro, compassionate, caring and a great teacher with his white boards and markers and crazy amount of knowledge. He'll do everything he can to help you but he's tough as shoe leather when he has to be so don't play games.

The reviews from the other women are not surprising to me because he WAS caring and compassionate with me at first too, that was 5 years ago. Now he treats me like absolute trash and even screams at me. When another patient is next door you can hear everything that is being said because the walls of his new office are paper thin, that would be a HIPAA violation. He is not located on 8 mile. He is on Farmington Rd right after Plymouth Rd going North in the Orangelawn office building. He over-bills my insurance and charges me high copays that no other physician does. He doesn't care that another patient has been sexually harassing me for months and blamed me for it the last time I saw him. I finally had the courage to leave and it felt like I was leaving an abusive ex. There is no one in his office to monitor his behavior such as a receptionist until after 3pm. I have never seen such a receptionist because he would make me come in at 11AM for the past 6 years. I can't even schedule my… own appointment times because he hands me a card. When I ask him to change it, he yells at me to call his "receptionist" whom I've never even met. While the few times that I did have to communicate with her she was very sweet and has nothing to do with his behavior, I did tell her how I feel and that he has been taking out his personal problems on me for a very long time now. The fact that he screams at patients is not okay. It's abuse. It's quite clear that he treats the male patients very different from the female patients. He was really into film making and kept imposing his movie "RANDOM KARMA" on me and showing me a movie script he was working on that was just a bunch of derogatory words towards women in it. He has been unprofessional for far too long and I am done with him. He thinks that he can get you hooked on a medication and you won't leave if he gets you addicted enough. He was insinuating this last time due to me standing up for myself because I refused to be sexually harassed by his patient that I wasn't even taking my medication. When I told him I would have a seizure, he said no one would believe me. That is textbook abuser language. I told him to do a blood test on me to prove that I am taking my medication and he's the liar and he got even more angry. Randy and his Napoleon complex need to be knocked down a few pegs. ***** I won't get into the other parts of how he behaved and talked about politics and kept me in the office for a really long time so he could bill my insurance for a longer office visit rather than just for a regular one (prescription refill). He didn't let me live down the fact that I voted for someone he didn't like, but why is a doctor discussing politics and religion with his patients in the first place???? He needs an intervention because if he keeps this up it will catch up to him and he will end up losing his license. *****

Excellent care. He's kind and considerate even to addicts and convicts but don't mistake that for weakness and push your luck, he won't tolerate manipulators playing games.

I have been seeing Dr. Ayres for quite a few year's and I have to say that having seen MANY Dr.'s after a military injury, Before I found Dr. Ayres I was in a very bad condition and my life was only barely manageable by my attending meeting's to try and stay away from opiate med's. While Meetings helped ( and still do) I needed to use another form of pain med that would be easier on me in the long run, Dr. Ayres spoke to me, and for once someone listened to me and valued my input and my life has changed from then on until this day, and I am expecting longer too. I am a disabled veteran and Dr. Ayres has shown me respect and care that I had never experienced before, sadly to admit. He has and continues to work with me, and he understands that I sometimes can be quite a bit to deal with and not always the most upwardly aware person at times because of my condition and level of pain that sometimes happen's and he has always been MORE than understanding with me. I owe a huge debt of… gratitude to this wonderful intelligent man and look forward to an even longer relationship, which is more than highly professional but also warm and kind, and I never leave without a smile. From a person who has experienced suffering on a first hand basis for a long period of time and not only my own, this Man is a breath of fresh air and a reminder that the planet still has good people on it.

Dr. Ayres is a caring, highly skilled physician who goes well beyond the ordinary level of concern and time spent in one-on-one discussion provided by any other physician I have ever seen. He is attentive, thorough, and never seems in a rush to get to his next patient.
