You should include a zero rating. Never saw the man until day of surgery and husband was back in hospital a month later with bleeding.

I recently had a procedure done at Hendersonville Hospital. Dr Howard and his team were the best. From the time I was admitted until discharged my care was top notch. Dr Howards bedside manner and expertise was superb. I can't complete this review without recognizing Dr Howards office staff. I had to reschedule my initial appointment for this procedure due to illness. The staff rescheduled me with ease, efficiency and kindness. Thank you so much to this team of professionals. Aloma A.

Does not care about patients at all. Has a "I'm a doctor so I'm smart and since you're not you're stupid" attitude and has no problem treating people like they are less than him. Once he runs out of ideas (only had 1 idea to begin with) as to what's wrong he brushes you off and you never hear from him again. His office waits until the last second to cancel appointments you've been waiting weeks for. Highly DO NOT recommend.

Dr Howard is always thurough, polite, and quick to the point. He has humor and has your best interest at heart. He has taken good care of my issues of 5 years.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Dr. Howard saw my husband on a referral supposedly for an ultrasound. He came in tapped on my husband's stomach and said he was scheduling a colonoscopy. My husband had a C Diff infection and after a month on antibiotics we thought it was gone after he had the colonoscopy. A few weeks later the same symptoms he had came back and our primary care physician sent him back to Dr. Howard because after 2 different antibiotics the infection would not clear. While waiting to see Dr. Howard ( appt a few days away) the pain was so severe my husband went to the ER. The hospital did a CT scan and told my husband that his colon was 3x the normal size and almost swollen shut. He was given two rounds of steroids as well as antibiotics and a pain medication to hold off his symptoms until he saw Dr. Howard. Dr. Howard tapped on my husbands stomach a couple of times again and said nothing was wrong with him. He was just constipated. He couldn't have C Diff infection… cause otherwise he would have constant diarrhea. I guess it never occurred to him that having your colon almost swollen shut wouldnt let the diarrhea pass. He hasn't had a solid poop in months. When questioned of why then we had test results proving C Diff infection from the primary care physician and the CT scan showing the enlarged colon he completely blew it off. Another specialist was horrified and had to put my husband in a 4k antibiotics for 60 days plus probiotics, steroids for inflammation for 2 weeks, and told him if his pain worsened or if he had anymore dizzy spells to go to ER immediately and call his office and he would do surgery to flush his system and transplant healthy bacteria into his bowels. According to Dr. Howard my husband was just constipated. Please do not go to this charlatan!

Was told to be at hospital at 6 for an 8:00 colonoscopy. The nurse says he won’t be here until after 9 and his office called yesterday but we did not receive a phone call indicating that. My husband just went back at 1015. More comments after procedure I’m sure. Very poor communication.

Howard performed a colonoscopy on me and the next day I noticed three bulges on the outside of my stomach so I went to see my general practitioner who at that time was Hailu Kabtimer. Kabtimer looked at my stomach and told me that the bulges were most likely hernias caused by too much air being pumped into my intestines during the colonoscopy. Kabtimer then told me that he was not going on record though concerning what happened. Hailu Kabtimer is a whole other story though. Kabtimer has been charged with taking kickbacks from medical equipment suppliers he referred patients to.I never talked to Howard before or after my procedure but I do know who he is.I suppose he was always to busy but I did see him at the nurses station chatting up the white nurses!These are sad times in which we live.The doctors we have in our society are not to be trusted.

Do NOT see this doctor! He was friendly, but moved amazingly slow on my case. I declined to the point to where I was in and out of the hospital. Still, NOTHING was changed in my treatment. I saw another doctor for a second opinion. Then got a VERY RUDE call from Dr. Howard's office stating they would not be seeing me anymore, even though I still had a follow up appointment scheduled and had not switched doctors yet. I 100% believe the management is the problem here. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!

I've been a patient of Doctor Howard's for a few years now, I have no intention of changing doctors. I believe when you find a good doctor, why look further, I do not believe in doctor shopping. I like and trust him with my care.
