Dr. Randy Steven Tartacoff, MD

Dr Tartacoff was the best doctor I've ever been to. He's trustworthy and qualified.

Simply, his attitude to me was arrogant as he rolled his eyes to my questions. He didn't want to spend enough time to understand any of my concerns. I've met much MUCH better ER doctors. Look for someone, if you care about your health!

i went to dr tartacoff after a car accident because the hospital needed time for a police report to clear before they would see me. the main problem was my left shoulder and he could never tell me what was wrong except a possible rotator cuff tear. his answer to everything was to give it more time to heal and kept me out of work for 3 months. it took him 2 months to finaly give me an mri, which was fully covered by my insurance so money wasnt an issue. when the mri came back he said it was negative and there was "nothing wrong" with my shoulder. he gave me a courtisone shot, said ill be fine, and sent me on my way after having problems and seeing him consistently for 3 months. most visits with him didnt even take more than 5 minutes, some if that. it was incredibly frustrating to know there was a problem, not get any answers, and then feel rushed out every appointment. after still having problems 7 months after the accident i went to another doctor, who looking at the exact same mri,… told me i needed surgery. i needed surgery for a labrum tear, shave down a piece of where my collar bone chipped into a point and was stabbing into my rotator cuff, remove the bone spurs from the area of the collar bone that chipped, and to remove bursae sacks that wouldnt go down in swelling. luckly the procedure was all orthoscopic and i only had three incisions. my second doctor told me that had my labrum been even a centimeter or two worse that i would have needed open shoulder surgery to fix it. all of which tartacoff missed looking at the same mri that showed these problems. as a kicker he even made a joke to me on my last visit about how the patient he had scheduled next had "real shoulder problems" and had to explain to him that he had to request a surgery for him. dr tartacoff may be a good doctor in other fields but i wouldnt know. in my experience with him i would not recommend him to anyone. ever. i had to deal with these shoulder problems for over a year because he couldnt help me with problems another doctor diagnosed right away.
