Dr. Ranganath Pathak, MD

Pathak has evidently been forced out of medical service and no longer has a license. He is accused of sexually abusing women. He tried to do unnecessary procedures on me in 2010. I can't believe he is still on this web site. If I could give him a negative score, I would.

My confidence in Dr. Ranganath Pathak, M.D., Sacramento Colon & Rectal Surgery Medical Group, Inc, was well placed; Dr. Pathak for his part was excellent. I was referred to Dr. Pathak by three doctors, two were surgeons themselves. One surgeon worked with Dr. Pathak over years and spoke highly of him. Dr. Pathak upon first visit took a lot of time to go over the health finding and test results, he was fact based, explained the need for further testing and process of collecting information to study the treatment approach. Dr, Pathak was personable and empathetic. I mentioned CT/MRI wait times and he picked up the phone that minute to expedite the test. I had heard the physical exams were highly unpleasant. The in-office exams are, by nature of Dr. Pathak’s specialty, not comfortable and are intrusive but another step in the process of learning more about the health issue. Dr. Pathak was respectful and patiently answered all questions. Following pre-surgery visits were hurried but he… remained factual and answered any questions and Dr. Pathak stressed what he needed me to be concerned about following surgery. I was terrified of the surgery and my case rare. The day of surgery, alone due to COVID, I was extremely scared and stressed but confident in Dr. Pathak as a surgeon. Dr. Pathak said hello before the surgery and after surgery the next day spoke with me in my hospital room. Despite a highly qualified surgeon and great staff, you have to be very proactive on scheduling test, labs, and asking all questions. Best luck all.

Worst possible exam I have ever had. I had a thrombosis of my rectum and this physician hurt me so bad I cried and I asked him to stop and he did not! Do not go to this doctor!!!!!!!

Dr. Pathac recommended a second colonoscopy because he saw a "flat polyp" that looked suspicious where my large and small intestine joined. This all seemed weird, so I had the second procedure done by another doctor. There was NOTHING. I feel Pathak was just trying to create more business for himself at my expense. I would never trust him again. Stay away from him.

Ease of access for wheelchair bound is very good. Sidewalks are smooth and level, automatic doors and large elevators. Smaller waiting room, and staff quick to run to offer help with doors and very pleasant overall. Referred by our GI doctor post exams for further diagnosis. Colon procedures frankly are incredibly unpleasant and embarrassing and messy, ditto for the preps. Doctors "backside" manner made this less so. Didn't need surgery after all. Dr personally was extremely helpful in detailing exactly what and where to purchase certain items, including providing links on the internet.

Great doctor and very kind

Dr. Pathak is so kind and caring and really listens and shows concern. I have been seeing him for a little less than a year and he is so wonderful along with his staff, Jaime and Nikki. I just love this office and would recommend them to anyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!
