Dr. Ranjana Kumari Soorya, MD

Overall not a pleasant interaction, advise on avoiding if possible, opportunities for her improvement... Provider was extremely dismissive of any/all information I was trying to inform her of. Felt as if she already had populated solutions in her mind and any dialogue outside of that was a bother to her. She was very short and side-stepped any questions when responding. I understand that Charts are important, but you also need the human narrative to understand the entire picture of health and as a patient my questions should be important. She was unresponsive to any communication attempts by the nursing staff trying to reach her regarding my care during the 24 hours util she again rounded.

I felt like Dr. Soorya was not really listening to me or viewing me as a person. She immediately jumped into a lecture on calories, diet and exercise without asking me anything about my health/weight history. If she had bothered to take the time to ask, she would have known that I had recently lost a significant amount of weight, and I really didn't need an elementary discussion of what is a calorie or why I should exercise.
