Dr. Ranjit Mitra

Wait time is usually an hour and a half past your appointment. He sees you for about 3 minutes, renews your prescription and sends you on your way. Very uncaring and cold. Wasn't feeling well so I called his office. His staff said they would have him call me back. He never did. I ended up in the hospital and the doctors at the hospital couldn't get him to return their calls either. I would strongly urge everyone to look elsewhere for a psychiatrist. If I could rate him less than what I did I would. Very shocked that he has a license to practice.

Does not care about patients. Never any follow up after he prescribs something to you. Does not refill prescriptions. And waits for you to call him when prescription are up instead of telling the pharmacy he would like to see you. Just went to see him today, gave me a nasty attitude and told me he would have me arrested because it was after hours when he told me to come after 5pm. Told me he didn't care about my well being. This guy should have his licence revoked. I'm currently on 200mg of zofolt and to not care about someone's well being after running out because of his refusal to renew the prescription is unacceptable

I honestly don't know how he still has a license. I come on time to all my appointments and he still takes other people who walk in afterwards. Hes rude when you try and talk to him. He def has favorites and who knows what he precribes them.

when you go for an appt. you find about 40 people in the waiting room. after a minimum of 2 hours he will see you for about 30 seconds. long enough to re-fill your meds. If you need forms filled out for your insurance forget it, he does not do it. he does not return phone calls nor care that you can not stop taking the meds without a serious reaction. if there was a lower rating than 1 star i would give that. don't waste your time on this guy.

First you wait in the main waiting room, which is usually over crowded. Then he sends you upstairs to wait in another waiting room, with a ripped vinal couch.I was waiting for his staff to fax back preauthorization forms to my pharmacy, but they didn't, so I am out of meds. I went to his office tonight to get them to fill out the forms and get samples (meds) to hold me over until I get the prescription filled and he told me I need to find a new doctor who has time to fill out forms! He left me with no meds.

I'm a former patient of Dr. Mitra. I was under his care for about a year. Dr. Mitra has to be one of the best if not the best in his area. He took the time to understand the issues that were causing such behaviors and properly medicated to cure oppose to control. I would recommend Dr. Mitra to anyone who needed such a doctor.

Dr. Mitra is fabulous but the staff is slow.
