Dr. Ranka Samsa-Zalud, MD

I was a patient of Dr. samsa for many years. She lead me to believe my kidneys were in better shape than they actually are. She totally contradicted everything that I’ve read online about kidney disease. At my last visit she said I was stage 3 with 41% left. It took me having to find a new doctor to get the truth. In reality I’m late stage 4 with 17% function. Her staff even refused to give me my lab results over the phone. MY labs!!! I have every right to MY labs!! So it took me finding a new doctor for him to confirm what I’ve known all along about the shape of my kidneys. I will NEVER go back there again!

Horrible experience with her, she is so rude and nasty to treat her patients, she doesn't have manners at all . Do. It go to see her

HORRIBLE doctor, if you value your life find another doctor. She Is Rube AND Incompetent. I'm socked that she was given a certification. We Have Had 3 other doctors tell us the meds she prescribed were totally wrong and I paid dearly, in hospital for two months!

I was a new patient to Dr. Samsa recently. I called in and made an appointment for a Wednesday which was canceled by her office staff and rescheduled for the following Thursday at 9:15am. I was told I would be the first patient seen that day so I accepted the appointment. I got to my appoint 10 minutes early as I was told I needed to fill out paperwork. I was brought in by her office staff, a young male nurse I can not remember his name, who put my at easy right away! He made me feel as if I was family which made me very comfortable with him. After he asked me a million and one questions about my history and symptoms he told me the doctor would be in shortly as she was still at the hospital, which I am guessing is the hospital right on the same campus. I waited in the exam room for 45 minutes after being questioned for the doctor who came in such a rush i didn't know who she was. After about 10 minutes of her asking me the same question the male nurse asked I figured she was the… doctor. She had NO bedside manners, I found her to be VERY rude, and she treated her staff poorly. She was very rushed as she had a waiting room filled with patients at that time and only spent 10 minutes with me. I will NOT be going back to her, but I will try making an appointment with her partner.

Dr Samsa saved my life 9 years ago. I was diagnosed with wegener's granulamotosis. she discovered i had this dreaded disease. While i was near death my mother told me that she was very determimined to find out what i had. actually she was relentless. i am grateful for dr samsa and needless to say she remains my kidney doctor. i am 4 yrs post transplant and she still checks for my wegener's regularly. God bless Dr Samsa.
