Dr. Sugino faced multiple challenges with treating my foot: a large, deep, & stubborn ulcer, bone spurs underlying the ulcer, tendon issues, and complicated by 4 to 9 daily walking miles on my job. With tremendous knowledge & skill, she assessed at each office visit whatever progress (or lapses) had occurred. She adjusted the treatment plan to better promote healing of the ulceration before risking surgical correction of the bone issue contributing to the ulcer’s tenacity. After performing a cheilectomy, her post-surgical evaluations showed four tenotomies (done in-office) were also required to prevent other ulcerations. I’m walking again with no recurrence of pain. I truly believe Dr. Sugino saved my foot Two other things of remarkable note. Her comprehension of how my job requirement affected treatment strategy was excellent, unusual in most of my experience with doctors.
