Summary
RM Pediatrics is located in two locations - in San Jose and in Sunnyvale. My patients come from as far away as Antioch, Gilroy, Santa Cruz, Milpitas and Mountain View. I provide preventive care, as well as urgent care/ Sick visits. I am Board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, and am a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
I am committed to promoting preventative healthcare and strongly believe that early intervention before disease occurs is important to good health. This involves minimizing disease-promoting factors and optimizing healthy lifestyle behaviors. I will work with children and their parents to devise an individualized plan for continued good health. I enjoy working with children of all ages, from birth, until college-aged. Where there is sickness, we will work towards a return to wellness. Some of my special pediatric interests include healthy nutrition and lifestyle promotion, asthma and allergy, adolescent medicine, and integrative medicine. General Preventive Care and my Private practice
I provide general pediatric care for both acute and chronic illnesses. Services include: preventive care, well child visits, sick visits, school and sports physicals,childhood immunizations, and pediatric concierge care. Our patients range in age from birth to 18 years old.

Evening and weekend appointments may be available.After-hours care: If your child is sick on evenings and weekends, you may reach me directly and I will advise you accordingly.

Saturdays: Limited hours on saturday mornings, please call and listen to message and leave me a clear message. Same day appointments for minor illnesses and injuries. Don't wait for hours in a crowded Emergency room.
About me
I grew up in Hong Kong and attended Medical school in Bristol, England. I trained in Pediatrics at the Birmingham Children's Hospital, before moving to the Bay Area. I studied Epidemiology at Stanford University (my thesis was on Osteopenia in children with cystic fibrosis) and then did my Pediatric residency at Georgetown University Hospital, in Washington, DC. Since returning to the Bay Area, I have worked in various busy private practices, before focusing on Pediatric Urgent Care when I joined South Bay Children's Urgent Care. This allowed me more flexibility with shift work while my kids were young. I worked in several high schools in South San Jose during this period, providing healthcare and counseling to the teenagers in their school clinic. Since South Bay Urgent Care has expanded to BayCare Pediatrics and to providing preventive pediatric care, I am very excited to have set up a private practice and getting back to my true passion - Preventive care in babies, children and adolescents. I am relocating this spring, and joining RM Pediatirics to continue in private practice.
I am married, with 2 sons. I enjoy watching them grow and they are my life teachers. I love living in the Bay Area with all the outdoor activities, music, art, and foods it has to offer. I enjoy hiking/ walking, swimming, yoga and try to play tennis and ski when I can. My favorite pastime is to read at the beach, watch the waves, and savor my children playing in the sand like a pair of seal cubs. In addition to English, I am also fluent in Conversational Cantonese and understand Tamil.
