Dr. Rashid Khalil, MD

Rude from start. Didn't listen to any word that I was able to get out of my mouth before he interrupted me. Replacing retired pain management doctor at St Charles temporarily until permanent one found. Lecture about pain meds and changed pain med from 4 a day to 3 a day on first visit with no history taken. Also took away anti-anxiety med cause didn't understand why I'm anxious at times. Told him where my pain was located on my back and the fact that there is bone cancer nodules there. He said according to bone scan 2 years ago there is no metastatic disease. So I'll have to question my oncologist about not having bone cancer (stage 4) that I'm getting treatments for. Maybe I don't have lung cancer (stage 4) or breast cancer (mastectomy) either and maybe I'm going to live more than a year? I'm going to have to have a long chat with oncology. Oh and severe rheumatoid arthritis after open heart surgery 22 years ago that flares every other month. Very loud, almost yelling and was in the… room less than 2 minutes. All he addressed was amount of pain med I take and why I even needed any. I told him I am not taking the anti-anxiety med every day just when I had too. To that he replied "why are you getting it filled every month, giving it away?" Now I'm in tears and feeling like I had just been attacked. No compassion, no caring, we are all just drug seeking addicts. Hopefully I can just see a nurse practitioner until permanent doctor found. That was a long 2 minute visit.

I would stay away from this Dr. He wouldn't listen to me as a patient, and did not help me with pain management. Seriously find someone else.

Has told both my wife and I that he does'nt treat pain

Dr is always running late. He is running late because every patient gets a lecture about the meds they take. Then he’ll make the sales pitch for the nerve stimulator.
