Because I enjoy helping people achieve and maintain their optimum health and wellness, going into the medical profession was a good fit for me. \n Taking care of people's health should be a partnership based on trust. And trust is built one conversation at a time. What I learn from listening to my patients helps guide me to the best treatment options that are tailored for them. \n I lived in New York for a while, and while there, I volunteered as a yoga teacher at a gay men's health crisis center. It was wonderful to give those men space to feel safe, grow in their yoga practice and enhance their health and wellness. \n When not working, I love spending time with my son, Hendrix (named for Jimi Hendrix). As you might guess, I love music. I also love to dance. My patients see evidence of both those passions in my clinic space. I have practiced many styles of dance - flamenco, ballet, modern, Horton and samba. I've recently added another to my repertoire when I signed up for African …dance lessons. \n I always tell my patients: Find a way to exercise that you will enjoy. Dance is my favorite way to unwind and burn some calories in the process.
