Dr. Raul Vargas Borromeo, MD

Prior to meeting this doctor at the ER at Evergreen Medical Center, I already signed a form with palliative care provider that I want to get CPR if I have no pulse and not breathing. I also stated that I want to receive full treatment for medical interventions. This doctor tried to ask me to sign another form that he prefilled stating that I don’t want CPR and I don’t want full treatment (only comfort-focused treatment). When I refused to sign (change what I wanted), he was angry, kept telling me that I don’t understand. He said that because I have cancer, I should not receive full treatment and CPR. While my oncologist at another hospital scheduled me for treatments, this doctor told me I needed to go to hospice. He said no more treatments for cancer after this. Good thing I didn’t listen to him and asked to be discharged. I am at home now… feeling normal… and writing this review. This doctor got mad at me when I didn’t sign his prefilled form to the point that he tore the paperwork… in an angry way in front of me. I was shocked. I would never visit the Evergreen Medical Center ER again even though it’s 5 min from home because of this doctor.
