There's a lot of Doctors out there but this Doctor has true compassion for his patients. He's very thorough and takes the time to listen and understand the patient. He has performed several surgeries on me, one on my face both hands and elbows. If you are looking for a plastic surgeon / hand doctor then look no further. I can't say enough about him. I was having pain in my hands and via my pain management center (Hudson Spine and Pain Medicine) was recommended to Dr. Raul Cortes. I researched his bio and made a consult. The consult was unrushed and informative. After a thorough examination, Dr. Cortes provided me with a number of options. I decided on reconstructive surgery (Trapeziectomy). Now 6 weeks along, I have excellent movement, and no pain. I am in physical therapy and prognosis is 100% recovery. Dr. Cortes is a skilled surgeon and I highly recommend a consult to see whether you are a candidate for this procedure. I am very happy to have had Dr. Cortes perform the surgery. ZERO regrets. Thank you.

Dr. Cortes is truly an outstanding surgeon. I can't more highly recommend this professional, knowledgable, and caring doctor. Always approachable and very responsive, he is a rare find in New York City.

Professional, and helpful. I was self conscious about visiting a plastic surgeon but DR. Cortes put me at ease with my concerns and made me feel part of his family/staff. He directed gave me all my options, but definitely helped me find what would work best for me. I never felt pressured and Raul definitely had my best interests at heart. I would highly recommend!

It has taken my entire life to work up the courage to see a plastic surgeon, always something I have had so much anxiety over. Dr. Cortes immediately put me at ease listening to all my concerns and answering every one of my questions. I never felt rushed and I am 100% confident I have found the plastic surgeon for me â?º

Not only did Dr. Cortes fix my broken wrist but he spent time with me explaining exactly what was going to happen and my reasonable outcome, in a language I actually understood! I donâ??t plan on hurting my wrist again but if I do I know exactly who I will go see. Thanks!
