It would be difficult to put into words how grateful I am to Dr. R N Lugo and his team but here goes. Whether in his consulting rooms or in surgery I (the patient) and my wife were treated by a kind and thoughtful surgeon, a truly consummate professional. Dr Lugo was detailed, reasoned and involved me in every step. He explained patiently, my diagnoses and my options along with pros and cons of each course of action. We always felt a part of his team - with my health as the goal. Follow up meetings were generally coupled with solid advice on adjusting my lifestyle patterns re diet and exercise to further achieving a healthier lifestyle. I've placed my life in his hands on two occasions within the last eighteen months and should the need arise, would not hesitate to do so again. How can you put in words the knowledge, abilities , and experience this wonderful surgeon has been blessed with and uses daily saving cancer patients while still preforming general surgery. His skills are beyond compare. He saved my life more than once; never gave up on me ! He leaves no stone unturned when preparing his patients for any surgery. Dr. Lugo studies your case before your first consult. He is easy to talk to, explains your medical condition to you and your family where you can understand. MOST awesome outstanding physician in cancer and general surgery. I am blessed.

Almost seventy years old...several doctors in my past & Dr Raul Lugo is by far the best. Embarrassing examination, for anyone ...but he put me totally at ease. Most of all, he listens, explains and makes eye contact. Only disappointment. . .when my insurance had to change to medicaid . . .I had to loose the "The Best". Now, instead of confident about surgery. I am a nervous wreck...if you want an awesome doctor it is Dr. Raul Lugo.

He is very caring, compassionate and competent. Before my surgery he was very thorough in obtaining all the information needed for a successful outcome. During and immediately following the surgery he was most informative and caring with my family. During my hospital stay he anticipated my every need and the nurses were prepared to care for me. In my post op transition, he was very accessible and spent all the time needed to answer any questions. Hopefully, my family will not need a surgeon for a very long time... but if we do, Dr. Lugo will be our first choice.
