My husband has seen Dr Gurujal three times for heart issues. Every single time the wait is hours long. We are told to arrive as early as 6am, only for him to show up at noon. Yssterday we arrieved for a 10am procedure, the surgeon could not be paged or found until 230. This caused an in and out procedure to take us into staying at the hosptial over night. Today we have been waiting for him to discharge my husband my since 845am, it is 2pm. They have paged him and again, there is no response. This seems to be an on going trend. When the surgeon is found, he barley remembers what procedure he performed and does not want to answer any questions about further care or what is the next steps. He told us, “oh, why do you not know that” on several occasions. He does not want to share any important information regarding patient care after major surgery, and is impossible to get him to stay in the room for more than 2 minutes. I understand he is very busy, but at the very least, answer your… pages and be in contact with hospital staff so the patients are also aware of what is going on. Please also tell the patient how to care for themselves after the surgery vs assuming they know.

He Was my Doctor for a short time. I hated to see him leave Advocate .His replacement did nothing for me. I miss him terribly I would recommend him highly.
