Dr. Ravi Verma, MD

I was referred by my pain doctor to see one particular spine surgeon only, that being Dr. Verma. That was truly the best advice I had ever been given. I have been diagnosed with multiple issues with by spine, and prior to becoming a patient of Dr. Vermas, I suffered from severe pain in my legs, which was unbearable to the point where I cried almost every morning. Dr. Verma recommended a spinal fusion which was performed at Jersey Shore Medical Center. I was up and around shortly after surgery without assistance from the staff. My leg pain was gone. Yes, gone. I can only express gratitude. I must also add Dr. Verma is a kind, compassionate surgeon with an excellent bedside manor and personality. I have never felt rushed or uninformed. Dr. Verma saved my life! I dealt with pain from a neck injury for years. I never knew what toll chronic pain would take on my mind and body and I finally had enough. After exhausting all medically necessary options, surgery was my last hope. It has been 6 weeks since the procedure and every week is better than the last. The numbness, tingling, shooting pain- they’re all gone. Recovery was pretty mild. I walked out of the hospital a few hours later that same day. I was back at work after 6 days. And now I’m back to full duty with no restrictions.
