In 1982, Dr. Bachireddy co-founded the Heart Institute of East Texas with Dr. Chandra. Since its beginning, The Heart Institute has been instrumental in bringing state-of-the-art heart and vascular care to Deep East …Texas. Our patients can see their cardiologist and have access to cardiac stress testing, echocardiography, vascular sonography, labs, x-ray imaging, Cath Lab procedures, Cardiac Rehab, Heart Failure Clinic, and Rhythm Clinic all under the same roof. In addition to our two Lufkin Offices, we also maintain offices in Livingston, Jasper, Center, San Augustine, Hemphill, Crockett, Woodville and Nacogdoches.
The Heart Institute of East Texas served an integral role in establishing top rated heart care programs at both Memorial Medial Center / St. Luke’s Health Memorial Lufkin and Woodland Heights Medical Center. The development of these programs has been very successful and were instrumental in making Lufkin the hub of cardiology care in Deep East Texas.
Dr. Bachireddy currently serves on the board of directors for CHI St. Luke’s Health-Memorial. As ACC Cardiovascular Champion, he led the team from CHI St. Luke’s Health-Memorial to earn the HeartCARE Center of National Distinction designation and the Pioneer Award given by the American College of Cardiology.
