Dr. Ravindra 0 Arya, MD

I saw Dr. Arya for a second opinion for my daughter. We were very anxious and on our edge. I admit that my/our first impression of him was not great. He has very serious expression on his face and didn't appear very energetic. But by the end of the visit, he gave clear directions and explained everything in detail, so much better than any other Dr. He speaks slowly and has an accent or lisp. But we can understand him if we pay attention. One thing we like about him, is that he treats children with a lot of respect. Our teenager likes him so much better than other Drs. The other major issue with the visit was parking and poor directions to the clinic from the parking.

We had been running from pillar to post about our son, when someone in our church suggested us to see Dr. Arya. He came across as a little different MD than we have been accustomed to, didn't smile much, but was attentive. Slowly we realized that he does not miss anything and puts everything together in his own way. Do not let his demeanor fool you. This guy is one of those genius freaks of nature. He diagnosed my son and his first thoughts were proven right by the EEG and genetic testing. He also guided us very nicely through the treatment and explained the outcomes very well. He speaks as if he is not sure, but actually he proved absolutely correct.

Extremely knowledgeable. Very direct, salt of the earth kinda guy.

In these times, when U.S. healthcare is being increasingly "corporate-ized", Dr. Arya is a breath of fresh air. Knowledgeable, humane, and compassionate, he is a physician who truly cares for his patients. You don't meet such doctors very often these days. I consulted him for my daughter's epilepsy after being to 2 other hospitals. I was impressed by his methodical and frank approach from the beginning. He established the diagnosis correctly and promptly and gave us enough information about the disease. He always kept us on board with his treatment decisions. An excellent experience throughout.
