Dr. Ray Horwitz, DO

He does not answer calls and left me without refills in the middle of my Mom dying in hospitals. He is a smart !?&$ when you ask him about new medications since he says he does not get paid by them. He is a jerk. I went to him over 10 years and the final straw is being left w0 refills even after I paid for visit and no call back. He just don’t really care.

I saw Dr. Horwitz briefly about a year ago. He was very personable, not too formal, and sympathetic to what I was going through at the time. I felt he was on my side and gave great advice and medication (when needed). I'd recommend him to anyone going through a difficult time and in need of an amazing psychiatrist.

I really like DR Horwitz, however the staff there is really rude!!! "Rowena" will chew threw her food the whole conversation with you, interrupt you while you're speaking, and then hang up when you get upset that she keeps interrupting you! Very unprofessional, and I highly suggest another person returns calls or answers phone, because she is clearly not qualified to be working in this field.

I've been seeing Dr. Horwitz for almost 4 years and he is seriously the best. He stopped accepting my insurance, but I refuse to see another psychiatrist. I'm definitely willing to pay extra for what I get out of his treatment. He's very straightforward with me and always listens to my questions and concerns. He's made challenging decisions with my medications and done a fantastic job keeping me at my best mental health state. He's very encouraging and great at what he does. Seriously, best doctor I've ever seen!

Dr. Horwitz is the best Dr. I have ever seen. He truly cares about people's issues and helps them. He is open minded,funny and just amazing. I look forward to seeing him every visit. H, Robinson.

I felt blamed for my PTSD in a mean rather than therapeutic manner. His compassion is short-lived once you displease him. I believe, despite his brilliance, he is burnt out. i could not respond without shaking in terror that he would dump further pathology on me. He seemed to forget I was seriously bipolar and couldn't sleep. Perhaps this affected my decision making. Instead he accused me of being clever, duplicitous and delusional. Never did he offer a solution perspective. Just destroy my self esteem both as a person and a mother, I continue with him because he is a genius at prescribing the best meds for my condition and respects my complaints if side effects occur. I can endure caustic comments. I cannot function without medicines. In fairness it is only recently that he turned on me and had a legitimate reason. For many years he has been very kind.

I love his lighthearted, affable demeanor. What's particularly impressive to me is that he doesn't let the fun side get carried awayâ??he always stays on track and keeps the focus where it needs to be.
