I feel Dr. Terrell and his staff care about their patients

i have been a patient of Dr. Terrell for over 20 years and he has always treated me with the upmost respect and kindness. he is a professional and all of his staff are very good at what they do. i have prostate cancer and he has worked with me the entire time - i would highly recommend him as a doctor. in fact i love him and his staff.

My husband recently received a vasectomy from Dr. Terrell. He was given general anesthesia, which is overkill for this procedure, and we weren't fully aware of this before it happened. They gave him Versed to relax him and we thought that was the anesthesia. I was waiting in the waiting room for about 1.5 hours waiting for him to wake up. Our friends who have had this done with other doctors have had a completely different experience. We also learned, only after asking, that my husband has metal clamps on his vas that will stay inside his body forever. Dr. Terrell never mentioned this at all prior to the vasectomy and we are very upset by this. He also cut his vas and from what we've read the clamps are commonly only used when the vas isn't cut. We aren't sure why his tubes were sewn shut or cauterized. We would have never agreed to this procedure. We are currently waiting the time out for the semen analysis to be complete to see if the procedure worked.

He seems thorough and always takes time to explain things and ask if we have any questions. I would recommend him to others in need of his care.
