Dr. Ray Alan Verm

Greatest gastroenterologist ever! And a very thorough and kind doctor and sweet, charming man. I love this guy! So sad that he has retired!

Very pleased with accuracy of diagnosis, efficiency and courtesy with patients. Somehow he feels like family to my wife and I.

Dr. Verm is very cordial, understanding, and his determination of your health is very thorough and professional. I would recommend him to anyone.

This Doctor came highly recommended, but his office is worthless. They never answer their phone and just let it all go to voicemail, except after 5 when they basically tell you to hang up and dial again after 9 am the next day. The only message you get after pressing buttons, tells you to email a nurse at her gmail account when you want an appointment. Then, you get a somewhat terse reply the next day saying, you should contact someone else, but anyway, there are no appointments for you for 6 weeks, and when you send us over your insurance information, we'll see/go from there....that is, "go away". Apparently they judge their patients and your treatment based upon their view of your insurance company. I guess I'll never know if this is a good doctor or not since he and his office apparently don't want patients.

Hello, does anyone know another Celiac doctor that takes most insurance. I called Dr. Verm's office and was told he does not take Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Texas..PPO. My Endo doctor said she likes Dr. Verm and recomenned him. There has to be another good gastro/celiac doctor in Houston. I also have had bouts of H-Pylori. Thanks

Dr. Verm is the best doctor. He has a lot of experience and that is important. He tells you exactly what he is doing in terms you can understand. Good person. I have been going to him for 5 years.
