Dr. Rayden Chandler Cody, MD

Recommendation of Dr. Cody and His Team I’ve lived a very long time and thus have had many experiences with physicians and their staffs. Dr. Cody and his staff – i.e, their “team,” truly cares about their patients from the very first contact and then after the treatment. I was in a good deal of pain, ranging frequently from a pain level of 7 to a 9 (out of 10). When I called for an appointment, the earliest one was 6 days out . . . a long time to be in pretty much frequent debilitating pain. I asked to be called at any time there was a cancellation. Within two days, Kayla called to schedule me in for a much earlier appointment. During the call from her, her voice clearly communicated sincere and deep compassion and concern about both me and my discomfort. Upon walking into the waiting room, I was greeted by Janet with a warm and concerned welcome. During the processing into their system – i.e., the “paperwork,” – Kenrick was extremely helpful and efficient while expressing concern… and care that the intake processing go as comfortable and quickly as possible. Upon meeting Dr. Cody in the treatment room, his introduction is clearly one of concern, gentleness, and caring . . . and very humble, making it clear we’re partners in my treatment – to be included each step of the way. As is my practice when engaging any professional from whom I need help, especially physicians, I have a lot a questions to evaluate how they are going to focus on my problems and how they think. Dr. Cody was exceptionally forthcoming and exceptionally patient in answering my questions and making sure his answers were meaningful to me and determine if there were anything else I needed to know about him and how he intended to proceed with diagnosing and recommending treatment for me. Dr. Cody presented options of treatment and recommended the least invasive – a simple cortisone injection. I agreed and within 4 hours my pain went from frequently a 7 to 9 down to less than a 1. It’s clear from the way my entire experience went that all the personnel involved are a “team,” not just staff and practitioners focusing only on their part of the job – but for everyone to make sure the patient is as comfortable as possible with all aspects of the process – clinical treatment and administrative processes. I recommend Dr. Cody and his team at the highest level.

Okay, so you are here reading reviews, wondering if this is the pain specialist for you. Let me help you out - it is! I had never been to a pain specialist before but was referred to Dr. Cody to help with unbearable back pain. I have gone through therapies and medications and all kinds of doctors, nothing was helping and I thought I would have to just live with it. And then I met Dr. Cody. Dr. Cody takes the time to truly listen and understand what's going on. He isn't one of those physicians that gives you 1 minute of their time and it's onto the next. He listens, and you formulate a treatment plan together. I had to have a couple procedures done (the costs are very reasonable too!) but I can already feel the difference and it was way easier than I had thought it would be. He has an amazing bedside manner and a skilled professional. Your only regret will be not calling him sooner! Also, I need to praise every single person on his staff from the desk staff, to his… assistants, to the nurses at the procedure center. They are all stars, friendly and very understanding. You could not ask for a better place to find the relief you've been searching for!

Dr. Cody and his staff have always been incredibly thorough and supportive in my healthcare. Available when I needed guidance, or physical treatment for my pain. As a chronic pain patient, the relationship I have with my Dr is vital to my existence and my quality of life. I appreciate how they will go the extra step to be sure I understand my treatment options. He has always been compasionate and willing to work with my preferences, and that enables me to feel like I have a say in my treatment plan. I couldn't recommend them higher.

I was very disappointed with Dr. Cody and the Peachtree Spine practice as a whole. I felt that Dr. Cody was arrogant and condescending. I also don't understand their stance on no pain relief. I went to a different practice and was helped within 3 days. Follow up call messages were "This is a courtesy call. No need to call back "

He is very knowledgeable. He gives you diagnosis w/ possible resolutions and starts w/ the least evasive process. Everyone I recommend him to loves him.

I moved here from SC, where for a number of years, I had been getting cortisone shots in my back for relief of debilitating back pain in my kidney area. Dr. Cody is indeed friendly and explains thing well. More importantly, he thinks out of the box. He said, "Well, it sounds like the shots are not working." He got the appropriate test, a CT scan, and he went over it with me with in good detail. He then suggested trying dry needle accupuncture. In many less trips than I would have thought needed, Melissa at Back To Motion PT (who has a PhD in Physical Therapy), has my back 99% better. Dr. Cody is the answer to years of prayer and visiting other doctors.

I was diagnosed with back problems in 2009. I saw a orthopedic surgeont and was told I had to have surgery. I decided surgery was not an option for me and was referred to Dr. Cody. I saw him immediately --many thanks to the appointment scheduler that found a spot in Dr. Cody's schedule quickly. He is one of the greatest doctors I have talked to, he is patient, calm and funny and he was able to quickly put me back on my feet --literally!!! At every appointment he is very compassionate and thoughtful in his time with me. He answers all of your questions and explains all of your options in detail. Dr. Cody is a great doctor and I would refer any one to see him.

Dr. Cody is a very calm and caring doctor who listens to his patients, and is very thorough in his procedures and care.
