Dr. Raymond M Baum, MD

I saw Doctor's asssociate, a nurse practicioner, for six years. She dropped me like a rock after I provided her with negative feedback. Cancelled my last appointment with no explanation and ignored my phone calls and emails. I had to find someone else on my own.She acted more like a friend and a confidante. Dr. Baum refused to fill my pharmacy's requests for refills without eplanation and didn't pass the info onto Rebecca, my nurse practicioner and prescriber. I ended up in the ER three times getting emergency refills because she wasn't calling it in. She was only there one day a week, and kept screwing up my scripts, probably because she has too many patients. She had another job and was in school Ultimately the EXTREMELY poor communication was my primary complaint, but the place is a zoo.

Dr. Baum spends time listening to me and I never feel rushed. He is an expert on choosing the right medications for my conditions. I feel finally stabilized and am happy to have found this wonderful doctor.

I was seeing dr baums associate. she was nice but wanted be more friends than a provider. one day I had to pick up an rx that was written incorrectly. I was waiting for a long time in the waiting room and my phone was ringing. I had to answer the call bc it was a personal financial call that I needed to take. dr baum stormed out of the office and was so rude to me asking what I wanted . I advised I give me one second bc I had to finish this call. he was so impatient and was getting annoyed. bc of his immature behavior I asked the lady to hold on a second and quickly told him I am getting the correct rx script. he was so rude and the lady on the phone disconnected and I was so upset. I ended up getting a delay in the funds for a week and I really wish he wasn't so foul. nonetheless, he wasn't even my doctor and my dr sent me a letter saying I was rude to him and I can not continue services. I as mortified. the office NEVER calls you back and they make up 1000 reasons why the… don't call you back. they are not reliable and will dump u in a second. I was a patient with the other doctor for well over 2 years and she just failed me. he is so rude so don't waste the money on someone who really doesn't care

320.00 first visit...Acts like he knows it all...Curses while talking to men and woman!! No respect!!Prescribed medicines, but when my fianc needed him in crisis regarding meds he prescribed we received NO call backs!!!! No secretary to answer calls!!! Then he had someone cancel her appt a day before next visit!!Wouldn't reschedule, her problems were too much for him so he sent certified letter stating he can't treat her anymore!!!!This creep should be avoided no matter what!! If he had a few good surveys it's only because they were problem free!

A family member became sick and Dr. Baum called me to check in with me just to make sure I was coping ok. A real gem.

...people are raving about this guy. His first visit is expensive at $320 for about 20 minutes. He's robotic in nature - tell him your issues, he'll give you a medicine. For the love of God, please read about these meds before taking them - crazymeds is a great site. Not really compassionate or caring, but it's not like he's mean either (again, like a robot). While I don't need a doctor out of Harvard or John Hopkins, I don't believe his school was the bees knees and my experience with him reflects that.

It is very difficult to get a hold of Dr. Baum. There is no receptionist and callback time is not acceptable.

Excellent Doctor! Dr. Baum is very experienced and knows how to care for you. I would highly recommend.

Forunately, Dr. Baum was free to see me at that moment, he had a cancellation. He couldn't believe that I was suffering so much for 17 years and suggested ECT which helped me save my life. He is a man in the right career, caring, loving, compassionate and if I didn't find him, I'd still be hooked into the pharmaceutical merry go round without any positive results, just the opposites. Thanks Dr. Baum, thank God for you!

I had a great experience at his office but the addresses you have for him are wrong. He is now only at 445 Brick Blvd, Suite 206. Look him up on the internet and you find his practice under Complete Psychiatric Services. His partner is very nice as well.
