Dr. Raymond Angelo Brickhouse, MD

This doctor only communicates with his nurse and the standard of care is just on money. He repeatedly asked the nurse if something was covered by insurance and then if she said yes he said let’s do it— there was no question to me on whether or not I wanted it. He even had me leave with two splints that I didn’t want but since the nurse said they were covered and I had no time to communicate, I just left with them. In fact they are not covered and I received a bill of $258 for something I will not use and didn’t want and they won’t let me return them even though they are unopened. The office is a circus and none of the techs even knew how to use the splints and were all guessing at it. It was absurd. It’s a very uneducated staff. The doctor gave me shots in my feet and I had no opportunity for informed consent because I specifically asked if it could cause any pain because I was hiking the whole next week. He said no chance, and the shots paralyzed me in pain for weeks. I am so upset… about this experience. I called the office to cancel the orthotics and then received a call saying they were ready for pick up, they did resolve that aspect, however I called and spoke with someone in the office about wanting to return the splints and about my horrible experience overall and she said she would talk to the doctor and have him get back with me, yet she didn’t follow through. No surprise. Everything about my visit was misleading and left absolutely no opportunity for informed consent. I want to return the splints.

I've had ankle wound/cut for 2 years. For 14 months Barnes treated it with no results. I've been seeing Dr. Brickhouse for 5 months and iy is healing. Thank you
