Went to establish a relationship with this doctor as a new patient. Went to his office at Millennium and was turned away due to no appointments and was referred to the ER or walk-in clinic that wasn’t far. I am guessing this was due to my symptoms. I went ahead to the walk-in clinic and saw the doctor there where he took X-rays of my abdomen and was diagnosed , given medication and a prescription for 60 days. I was hoping to follow up but this doctors office left me a voicemail and said the doctor “doesn’t feel you’d be a good fit”. Very unprofessional. Imagine sending your patient to another doctor and then not providing a reason why you won’t take on another patient that was in need of medical attention. If your office actually did their job they would have listened to the voicemail I left stating I saw the doctor at your request and tried to follow up with a primary as I will need medical attention in the near future. Terrible experience at Millennium in Port Charlotte. Go to the… walk-in clinic instead, they actually look at the person before turning them away. Do not recommend

Dr. Burgess always has a smile. He listens, does not rush to diagnosis. Treats patients with respect.

Dr. Burgess, is a wonderful,caring,concerned, and very knowledgeable Physician. When my husband had abdominal pains it wasn't dismissed as being diverticulitis, or something that he ate. Dr Burgess did exams, blood work and testing and found colon cancer, and swiftly took care of the problem. That has been many years ago and my husband is still with me. Thanks to Our wonderful Dr. Burgess. We, both have no doubt that he would not be here today if we had had another Physician.

Of all the Dr.'s we have had, he is the best. He takes time for us...never rushing us. He genuinely cares for about each and every patient. The communication between him and his patients is excellent. He is a wonderful human being and we are so happy that he took us on as patients when he has so many!!!! We love him!

Very knowledgable and not a time waster

Dr. Burgess has become one of my favorite doctor's I've seen. I traveled due to work moving 30 times in 16 years so I've had the opportunity see more than a few doctors around the US. I've recommended him to my friends and would to you.

Upon moving here from Indiana we were advised to seek medical care from Dr. Burgess. What a find this man is. He spends enough time with you that you feel like you have conveyed to him your total concerns. He listens well, but it is his response that is his best point. He will determine what is the best approach to your problem and immediately head in that direction. If he doesn't know he will tell you that, and do the research necessary for your case. He has a great bedside manner and can convey to you what is wrong in non-medical terms that you can understand. He and his office staff go out of their way to handle our families unique problems. He is a great Doctor!
