Dr. Costabile has been my urologist for 15 years. He has always been kind and professional - I would not ask for better treatment.

I will never have surgery again at anywhere but UVA! YOU ARE THE BEST!

Muy grocero poco profesional y no tuene ningún interes por sus pacientes . Hombres nunca vayan donde el. Mejor busquen otra opinión. Solo le importa el dinero de sus pacientes. No se como la clinica no toma cartas sobre este asunto y permite que este Dr si se puede llamar asi. Siga practicando y jugando con la salud fisica y emocional de los pacientes. Que leean todas las reseñas que los titulos que tiene no le sirven de nada.

I walked out of the appointment - first appointment and only time I have ever walked out of an appointment. Very rude-worst experience ever with a physician.

Dr. Costabile provided fantastic medical services for my vasectomy. While having a vasectomy is never a fun procedure, Dr. Costabile's excellent bedside manner, patient explanations of the techniques and consequences, and deft surgical touch mitigated the unpleasantness. I highly recommend Dr. Costabile to anyone considering a vasectomy.

I had a vasectomy reversal done in the first part of this year . Since that time I have had exactly zero conversations with Dr Costabile . My surgery has been a complete failure , no results only several weeks of pain and thousands of dollars spent . My repeated calls to his office have gone unreturned, I do however get to speak with extremely apologetic nurses who make promises of calls to be returned by the good Doctor . Find another Doctor , this one doesn't care !

I selected Dr. Costable based on reading his web page at the UVA web site, so I expected to actually be seen by Dr. Costable. I've been to visit his office 3 times for hormone replacement therapy and erectile dysfunction issues. Only once have I actually spoken with Dr. Costabile briefly. He was very nice and explained a lot about a lot but it didn't really seem that he was listening to me. The first visit I spoke with an intern who clearly didn't know as much about HRT as I and was carrying info back and forth between me and Dr. Costable. They took blood for hormone tests and asked me to return in 3 months. The second second visit I spoke with a very young fellow Dr. followed briefly by Dr. Costable. More blood was taken and I was told to return in one month. The third time was the same fellow Dr. who has energy level and bedside manner of a rock. He suggested that my testosterone level is normal when it is clearly very low for my age group, especially considering my… symptoms. I requested further testing to rule out a physical cause of my ED which fell on deaf ears. Finally an injectible ED drug was prescribed that I can't afford and I'm still waiting for a response regarding alternative compounding sources for the medication, and I was told to return in 3 months. During each visit I've felt rushed and that I wasn't being listened to. Between visits #2 & #3 I messaged the doctor using their automated system and on the 3rd visit it was clear that the doctor never read the message. The duration between visits is too long for no good clinical reason. I don't feel that I'm getting the attention and care that I'm expecting, and I'm disappointed that I can't see the doctor I originally selected based on my research. I may be shopping for yet another doctor to help me with my issues.
