Dr. Raymond Joseph Holmes, MD

After seeing a general surgeon and having a CT scan of a lump in my arm I was advised to see a vascular surgeon. I made an appointment with Dr. Holmes for a week later. At my appointment, I was brought into an examining room to wait. An assistant entered and told me that Dr. Holmes wouldn't see me because he determined that I had an AVM and needed to go to an AVM clinic in Manhattan. He didn't bother to examine me or take an ultrasound of my arm with the machine located in the room. Fortunately, I was able to get an appointment with different vascular surgeon from a different practice who did take the time to see me and do an ultrasound. He then performed surgery on my arm and discovered that I have sarcoma, are rare soft tissue cancer. I am now being treated by an orthopaedic oncology surgeon. Hopefully, this will turn out okay, and thankfully I didn't lose valuable time by following Dr. Holmes recommendation that I go to an AVM clinic in New York.

I was scared for my brother, but he was far beyond scared and troubled by his diagnosis. Together with Emily, Jenn, and Debbie, we helped to convince him of the importance of placing his trust into Dr. Holmes’ very capable hands. No one there ever gave up on him and I will forever be grateful for that, and for everything you did for him. Your kindness along with Dr. Holmes’ brilliance and amazing communication skills were also a gift to me. Thank you so very much for going above and beyond. Thanks also to the very sweet natured Anesthesiologist, friendly and caring nurses, and PA Dr. Kim S. She was so very patient and diligent. Thank you all so much. Dr. Holmes, you are amazing.

Took his time to patiently explain situation. Not at all "high and mighty" "doctorial attitude." First impression: a very knowledgeable, caring doctor.
