Dr. Raymond John Kloss, MD

Saw him a few years ago and seriously wished I hadn’t. He was uncaring and mismanaged my meds. I had been on lithium for years and he took me off cold turkey. This triggered severe side effects. Later learned that one needs to be weaned off lithium.

Was treated less than human

Dr. Kloss very uncaring. Had been on Lorazapam a few years after trying many drugs for anxiety. He took me off Lorazapam cold turkey no weaning down which caused me many serious side effects. Put me back in my prognosis many years, clear to beginning. Would not recommend him at all

I have been seeing Dr. Kloss for anxiety. He is one of the most understanding/caring psychiatrists. I have had numerous family health situations which have caused me severe anxiety. Dr. Kloss has repeatedly told me to call his office if I need to in-between office visits. I don't feel like just another patient. He is very determined in helping me overcome my anxiety. I highly recommend Dr Kloss.

I saw Dr. Kloss a few times. He didn't really seem interested in my issues. 2 times I was there he yawned the whole time. He's not personable at all. When my meds were ok, my gp would renew the prescriptions so I could save money. Meds aren't ok anymore, I asked my doc for a referral to a different shrink. Nurse from his office called me after around 5 days and asked why I didn't want Dr Kloss. I was very down that morning and said as little as possible. She said Dr Kloss would have to release me to another doctor. Now it's been over 2 weeks and no one has bothered to get in touch with me. Long story, long- I got a pissy email from him today which reinforces my thoughts about him. He doesn't care about his patients. I am going to have to call the head of the department to get something done because he won't do anything. Not a way to treat a person with bad depression Dr Kloss.

Almost never responds to questions or give feedback, just stares. Gets angry and insults and belittles if he doesn't agree. Wouldn't consider my request to try to eliminate a drug, stating that "once we have you on it, we keep you there." Note: next doctor discovered I had a wrong diagnosis and the drug was not only not helping, but had really bad side effects. I would never see him again.

Dr. Kloss denied medication sending me from 150 mg of an antidepressant/anxiety medication to nothing that I was on this daily for 7 months. Poor communication between nurses, doctor and patient. With no communication for a week both my wife and I left messages. Nurse told me that I should tell my wife to "lay off" because she had left 7 messages in 7 days with no response from the office. Needless to say, we will be going elsewhere.

He was quite possibly, the most insensitive doctor I've had in my entire life. He was impatient. He made me feel like it was a burden to see me. I've had substance abuse problems since the age of 13, but other problems that let to my drinking. When he addressed these problems he said, quote for quote "what part about the fact that you can't drink alcohol don't you understand?" My mother had to kick me under the table to keep me from responding. How does he not understand the troubles of substance abuse in relation to other potential mental healt problems? It's not that simple moron. He didn't even ask about my other problems. The man is a Freudian, insensitive, and incapable psychologist. Why become a psychologist if your patients mean nothing. Pleas, please, please.....find another profession you piece of filth. You're horrible at your job. Sweetheart....nobody likes you.

I felt like sometimes when I saw Dr. Kloss I was bothering him. Like I was waisting his time or something. I felt like I was trying my best to do get better and follow the Dr.s plan along with my counselor but they ended up telling me I could no longer be seen by him or anyone else there because they said I was non-compliant cause I ended up in the hospital again. Now I always thought when a patient ends up in the hospital again the Dr. would be more concerned. If he felt that he could no longer help me why not just recomend me to another Dr. instead of kicking me to the curb completely. Because of his decision I could no longer see my counselor there who I liked and trusted very very much. It is hard to go talk to someone (at least for me) about your problems and hard to start to trust a Dr and/or counselor and I thought I finally found the right Dr. but I was wrong. Now I have to start all over again with someone new plus find a new counselor. I don't understand why his input got me… kicked out of the entire Behavioral Health Program at Pro Health Care. The counselor i was seeing there even wanted to still see me as a patient but Dr. Kloss input would not allow that. Just doesn't seem fair.

Dr Kloss is an excellent Dr and very easy to talk to. I would highly recommend Dr Kloss to any person seeking attention to mental health issues or any health issues they may need to work on.
