Dr. Pastore is a gift. His medical knowledge and the way he imparts it, isn't the only the reason I am writing. His compassion, the time he takes with each of us. His knowledge of and concern for the whole me, not directed toward" patient me". His interview is gentle and personal. He takes all the time I need, a rarity these days. While waiting, and he walks by ,I always observe him stoping to interact warmly with others. who are waiting. Dr. Pastore treats the whole person, not just the medical reason one has come.

I was referred for a hematology problem prior to surgery. The doctor provides clear, understandable communication skills, open candor, sufficient time spent, clear explanation on best choices to proceed. Follow up. Doesn't get better.

You will never fell like you are a number, there are times when, in the comfortable waiting area, and although I might not have seen him for some time, he greets me using my name. His kindness is something I feel with virtually every staff member. He sets the tone.
