Dr. Raymond Anthony Pensy, MD

“I am writing to thank Dr. Raymond Pensy and his entire staff for the excellent care I received during my reconstructive hand surgery and recovery. My tendon had become separated from the bone in the trigger finger in my dominant hand from a work injury. The surgery to repair my hand required a skilled and experienced orthopedic reconstruction surgeon. Thank God for Dr. Pensy. Before my initial consultation with Dr. Pensy, other physicians told me that surgery would not help me. But Dr. Pensy proved them wrong. Dr. Pensy’s knowledge, patient care, compassion and integrity have been second to NONE! He took the time to explain in detail the procedure and the occupational therapy that would be required for my recovery. I’m thankful and am happy to say that the surgery and the therapy I received was a success. I can’t thank Dr. Pensy enough for giving me hope and God for giving me the faith and strength to get me back on the road to recovery. Dr Pensy is the BEST!!!

Dr. Pensy was a part of my team of doctors handling my recovery from cancer surgery. He suggested a serial cast but never monitored the degree of angle thus 2 straight weeks the same angle was used. He oversaw my wound care after a failed skin graft and suggested nothing except daily bandage changes. I opted to use hyperbaric oxygen of which he adamantly opposed. I found Dr. Pensy very difficult to work with as his fragile ego was mostly focused on his anti HBO crusade. I do not recommend.

I have a chronic elbow condition for 25 years. It recently worsened, and so I sought out Dr. Pensy, based on his reputation and recommendations of trusted individuals who have been treated by him before. Dr. Pensy did a careful examination, and gave me his thoughtful opinion, and then he treated me with great kindness and compassion. He is an outstanding orthopedic surgeon, and I would happily go back for any other problems in the future to see him.

Dr. Pensy did hand surgery on my snow after a snowboarding accident. He did an amazing job of "piecing" his hand back together. Not only did he do an excellent job, it was a pleasure working with such a kind, courteous, professional man. Would recommend him to anyone!

Dr, Pensy performed a six hour reconstructive surgery on my elbow a couple years ago. His work is exquisite and I did not realize how genius of a surgeon he is until way after my surgery. I was only fifteen at the time and did not realize the severeness of my injury. He tended me with great care and optimistically viewed my future. I was at ease in his hands and placed my full trust in him. He would answer all my questions in a way so that I, only a teenager, could understand. Even on my follow up surgery two years later Dr. Pensy was just as caring and I never had any fear. Being in shock trauma that young was scary, but I was very comfortable because Dr. Pensy and his staff were all so kind. I can tell he is an awesome father by the way he interacted with me. I now know that my elbow reconstruction was a miracle and I owe it all to Dr. Pensy and his team, they are true professionals in their craft.
