The surgeon is extremely rude. Does not return calls or answer questions. For a patient that is hospitalized for 2+ days, he hasn't even stopped by to see him. When we were finally able to get a hold of, he didn't know a single thing about the patient and was rude constantly saying he's too busy. I work in the healthcare field as well and with surgeons actually and if you're too busy to take care of your patients, I'm not sure why you're in the healthcare field or a doctor at all. None of the surgeons I know treat their patients like this. They have at least the decency to stop by and update their patients if they will undergo surgery. Extremely dissapointed and upset at how rude he was.

I wenT to Dr Riveria & he order lab work because he wanted me to have a MRI. I went & had the lab work. I have called he 3 times in two weeks & he has not returned one phone call. I would say that's beneath the stand Of care. I would NEVER recommend him!

Thank you Dr. Rivera for your compassionate expertise responding and caring for my husbands emergency perforated colon. To say we were frightened would be an understatement. You treated my husband's life as if he were a member of your family. Thank you for taking the time to explain each and every step of the process as we headed through months of difficulties. You are a gem and anyone who is lucky enough to have you treat them...should consider themselves blessed.

Dr. Rivera did a laparascopic appendectomy on my daughter last week and he did a magnificent job. Her recuperation has been excellent, and she was able to leave the hospital after only two days.
