Dr. Raymond David Seay, DO

Tried to discharge my mother even though her surgeon said she wasn’t ready for discharge. When we said she wasn’t ready he basically got angry and said it was discharge or rehab and he didn’t care which. He should not be dealing with patients or families. Truly felt like he wanted us out regardless of patients condition.

When I was took off vent in ICU and saw DR. Seay for the first time I was not rational. I felt like he got angry with me and he told me he was going to discharge me AMA and he left the room. I having been a Case Manager for several years prior to being placed on disability for multiple health issues and coming out of a coma after being life flighted per Air Vac to the hospital he should have been more considerate of my mental state of mind. I also knew if he discharged me the insurance would pay medical bills due to medical emergency. I felt like his attitude once I got on the floor out of ICU did improve however it carried over to some of the nurses. I have never been treated in my 35 years of nursing with such disrespect. Dr. Seay did not know me and I know he was treating me on hearsay. Once I got home reviewed my labs and things came back to me the collapse at home came back to me. I hope to visit DR. Seay and explain what happened too me he still thought I done something to hurt… my self or accidentally. He was wrong. However the ICU nurses were wonderful and that is based on my family's perception.
