Dr. Raymond Tsao, MD

Dr. Tsao is an outstanding hematologist. I visited him after recent ER visit due to stroke like symptoms. The moment he walked in, he already knew all my extensive test results from the hospital then went over every results kindly explaining what each numbers meant. He also thoroughly tested after I showed him my concerns over b12 numbers. I have health anxiety and recently went through battles after my husband's stage 4 cancer diagnosis. He understood my PTSD and ruled out possible scary scenarios that could cause spiked b12 numbers. He also advised me on how to tackle if my some physical symptoms don't get better. I felt I was in such mighty hands. I wish all other docs in this country were like him. If it were my decision, I would change my husband's oncologist to be Dr. Tsao in a heartbeat.

I showed up at a bit early for my appointment, I was greeted by a very friendly reception staff, I was then brought back to the nurse station before my appointment time. I met with Dr. Tsao's PA (wish I could remember her name) she was very friendly, efficient, and informative. I then met with Dr. Tsao, all I can say is wow! he was the best doctor I have met with in a long time. I was there on a Thursday afternoon and by Monday morning he was on the phone discussing outcome of test's. Fortunately for me everything was OK, but I knew I was in the best hands if things went sideways. I would highly recommend Raymond Tsao and his wonderful team if you find a need for his services. Saved my dad's life!!

It's one thing to be methodical but his manner is so stilted as to suggest some asperger like qualities. It's odd odd odd. Even his staff commented to me. It appears everyone is afraid to give him feedback. This is not to say he is incompetent, merely off-putting. The man is well intentioned but without any kind of sense of humor. His approach is so exclusively driven by his own overly-processed, sequential, step-by-step manner that as a patient, I was afraid to speak for fear of throwing him off-kilter. It is beyond unusual and bordered on creepy. Also, I had work commitments that forced me to reschedule a few times and the surly receptionist literally yelled at me demanding sufficient reasons then shouted, without rescheduling, "I'll just have to send a message to the doctor," then hung on me. Well, okay then. I guess THAT happened. Wow. Do you realize that you represent the doctor? That doctors are commodities? There are zero barriers to substitution. And… thanks to websites like VITALS it takes seconds to find credible replacement. It's so easy for me to just get another one and have the files sent over. As I am now in the process of doing. I don't understand silly receptionists nor weirdly mannered doctors.
