Dr. Raymond K Whalen, MD

I have gone to Dr. Whalen for many years. He had done several surgeries for kidney stones and prostate difficulties. I find him to be very professional, very skilled and could not be happier with his treatment. After years of experience I do not give any credibility to these negative reviews.

Went over xray by touching computer keyboard 3 times and shutting off the picture. Obviously did not agree with pathologist...but did so in a way that made me feel stupid for following hospital advice

We have seen Dr. Whalen several times, and many of our friends and family members have seen him. He is known throughout the community to be one of the most detail-oriented urologists, and has a reputation as having a warm and caring bedside manner, which has been our experience and that of our friends. His staff is wonderful and they respect him greatly, and just recently they told us that he has routinely scored above the 80th percentile in patient satisfaction scores for many years. The other reviewer's notes just don't make sense to us, based on our experience and that of many people that we know - are they sure they are talking about the same person?

Bedside manner was inappropriate. He was disrespectful, unprofessional and worst of all treated us and his staff like dirt. I told my family practice doctor about it and he told me that he wouldn't refer his own family to him. We are seeing a new urologist now and couldn't be happier with our care. He spends much more time with us, is compassionate, and most importingly is a warm, caring individual.
