Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:I went into medicine because I enjoy caring for patients and helping make an impact in their lives. I like educating my patients about their health and helping them to make better choices regarding their health. While working as a critical care nurse for 7 years, I saw younger and younger patients coping with health issues that they should not be dealing with at their age. This is what made me become so passionate about preventative medicine. What I want my patients to know about me:I want my patients to know that I will always be open and honest with them. I'm very passionate about patient-centered care and I will always advocate for my patients. I strive to work with my patients and it's very important to me to have a positive provider-patient relationship.What I do when I'm not seeing patients:When I'm not working, I enjoy reading, going to the movies and traveling.
